Location of the hotel its great but probably would finish on that with positives. The room is big and comfortable, but outdated and in a desperate need of freshening up including new furniture. TV is still old style CRT with some kind of streaming service with 200 channels , but only one in English (Thai Channel about their culture and...

This nice hotel is at the heart of Silom area, just 5 min walk from the BTS Chong Nonsi and 10 from BTS Saladaeng. The location is perfect to go around walking in the area and to take the BTS. At night it is very quiet given that it is located in the alley of an alley. Nice staff, prompt...

The location is what I liked the most about this accommodation. It's right in the heart of Silom where you can have what you need (public transportation, food of all price range, shopping centers and bargain stalls, etc). Next, I am very pleased with the service and hospitality of the staff. I didn't know that the reception hours is only...

Good but basic accommodation that allows for daily, weekly, monthly or annual rent for a not so bad price £30 per night in high season. Good location in Silom. Walking distance to Silom rd, (watch your wallets) It's a rife area for pick pocket. silom is a very gay area in Bangkok. This is serviced accommodation so no pool or...

This is a case of might have been. Most of the things you would say about the place have a BUT in the sentence. The reception area is nice BUT there was often no receptionist or if they were there they were not much help. When I wanted to check out of the hotel the reception was empty for 15-20...

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Away from all the hustle but still in walking distance to everything. It should only cost you around 350 baht plus tolls(70baht) from the airport to the hotel but make sure to tell your driver it is a one way street. We check in late but the security guard was very...

This is a very convenient hotel , as the location is great, just near the subway, and it is very calm, which is more than appreciable in Bangkok!! The rooms are spacious enough, and clean. No breakfast, which is a pity as the lobby is very nice. The staff is friendly but speaks very little English...anyway I stay there each...

Tucked away at the end of a narrow lane in Silom, Silom Convent Garden is accessible - well situated close to BTS, shops, restaurents and street food. The rooms are clean but they could invest in new linens. The place is quiet and bright. The staff is pleasant and speak enough english. The room had a good sized refrigerator, microwave,...

Just finished a 2.5 month stay at Silom Convent. I was perfectly happy with the studio apartment. Liked: Clean, bright, cheery; 24-hour DIY laundry room (B120 for wash / dry but you'll need your own detergent / softener); send-out laundry (B30 per piece) and back in 2 days; easy 7 min walk to either Chong Nonsi or Sala Daeng BTS...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
