I booked this hotel for 4 nights between tours back in April 2015. It took a very long time to find this hotel and our tuk tuk driver eventually gave up and dumped us on the street. Clearer joining instructions would be helpful. The entrance is not super visible from Khao San Road. This hotel has really clean and modern... More

My boyfriend and I spent one night in Bangkok before heading South. We wanted to experience Khaosan Road but stay in a hotel rather than a hostel. The Khaosan Park Resort was a good spot for one or two nights to be able to conveniently go out on Khaosan and then have a basic, private and clean room to put... More

nice clean and friendly staff, the bed a bit hard and it is a bit more pricy than most other basic rooms at Khaosan road. If you ask for a quite room you can even have your sleep before the bar are closed.

We stayed here for one night and that was enough. The rooms were clean, the beds were hard, the shower room was nice, the balcony was enough to stand on and view litter on corrigated rooves. The staff were friendly but limited English so just giggled and walked away when they didn't understand. Drilling and hammering started about 7am and... More

I stayed here about 4 years ago when I went travelling with a friend. This hotel is in a great location right in the centre of the popular Khaosan Road. The rooms are cheap, clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Everything is on your doorstep. And there's a great bar up the road that do incredible cocktails! Not ideal... More

Amazingly friendly staff. Room was basic, but very nice and clean with good AC. What made the place special was how surprisingly friendly everyone was. Granted I had just left Rambuttri Inn which has some of the rudest staff ever, but even without a comparison they made you feel welcome. Location is great for the Kao San Road area... To... More

Even with ear plugs in it felt like sleeping in the middle of a club. We asked for extra towels and were rudely told no. The bed was hard. Having a fridge in the room seems great except there is no power in n the room when you are not in it, so nothing stays cold. There have to be... More

From my experience the staff are super friendly and will do anything to help you. The rooms are very clean with nice bed sheets. I got a single room for 900baht which is very reasonable for what you get and the room is right at the back so you'll hear no noise from the street. The location is the best... More

I had a few days to spend in Bangkok, before I met friends there, so I checked in /reserved in advance/ three nights here, asking for a room away from the street noise. I got one, on the fifth floor, facing the further most back of the building. Still, the street noise was palpable, though I should add, to a... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
