We went with Mrs Rat for Damnoen Saduak Floating Market Tour and it was such a great experience. We also stop at Maeklong Railway Market and she helped us to get the best view of the passing train and showed us how to pose so we can get the best picture. We enjoyed our trip with her and at the... More

Tina and I arrived on Monday for a week. Accommodation clean and modern. Food divine. We have been cooking with Rat and her house girls each day. Riding to the market. Preparing and partaking. Just like living here. Day trips to where ever we want to go. Either in an aircon car with rat or on bicycle. Al in all... More

Loved our 3 day stay at Rat B&B. This is a great place to stay if you also want private tours around Bangkok. The family is very friendly and attentive. The facilities are clean, comfortable and modern with a touch of old Thai. The breakfast was delicious too. We stayed on a friend's recommendation with no regret.

We were seeking a tour guide to help us in and around Bangkok, and a friend recommended Mrs. Rat. Unfortunately when we contacted her, she was already booked, but instead sent her cousin Mr. Somkiet. What a lovely man!!! For one day, and a reasonable price, he took our little family in and around Bangkok. He organized our day, drove... More

My wife and I visited for 3 days in April and booked directly through their own website. We also asked to be included in some tours but didn't bother to ask too many details. We arrived early in the morning and were picked up from the airport by Mrs Rat who is a very lovely person who made a great... More

Rat and Nut treated our large family like theirs for the 3 days we were with them! Looking at a second trip to their B&B. Nut customized the tours to accommodate the kids. Rat went out of her way to get the foods the kids liked.

My husband and I did a private tour with Rat for our honeymoon. He took us to see the salt farm, train market, and floating market. It was a lot of fun and a great way to learn about Thailand’s culture. He picked us up from our hotel and was very friendly. We asked him a lot of questions to... More

The location was such a relief to busy Bangkok with quietness and local touch. Mrs Rat really made our stay feel like home by serving authentic thai food for breakfast every morning. She also gave us an cellphone in case we got lost in the city. Her son took us outside Bangkok to see the old capital and he really... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
