Loved it here! The location was great. Right by the river so you could watch the river by day and night - always something to see. Handy to get to train and boat stations. Easy walk to Icon Siam shopping mall. Hotel is good. Rooms clean and functional and have everything you need. The pool is good, a bit cold! but nice to sit around for a lazy afternoon. Food was ok, bar area ok. Good value to be in such a great spot.
It Appears from some reviews that the reception staff were not helpful but in my experience, with a smile and treating them correctly, I found them all great, especially Bambam my sweetheart, in the nicest possible way. I call this hotel my second home! Thank you all for looking after me so well!
I stayed at the Ibis Riverside Hotel, it was a lovely hotel yes with basis facilities, but everything you could want. The rooms are basis but big enough and clean, loved the pool good size to swim in and a lovely area to have a drink or meal, along the riverside , i enjoyed watching the cruises going along the river and watching the sun go down. The staff are super helpful and very kind i cannot say enough good things about this hotel, next time i come to Bangkok Ibis is the hotel for me 10/10 for service from all staff members, there is a member of staff on front desk i forgot his name he helped me print some documents for me he is a sweetheart
Well run hotel by Orawan Vicharnarong, exceptional Hotel Manager, great and friendly staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable and provide area information. Taxi service in 3-5 minutes. Relax with closeup view of the river and non-hurried dining. Gated entry to parking area and hotel entrance. Room doors are safe heavy steel reinforced. electronic isolated from hallways and elevators. 7-11 close to hotel and Starbucks, Villa Market, and wine store nearby. Hotel also has transportation at select times to BTS and river access. Hotel rooms, dining area, and pool areas very clean and great care in service not rushed and not pushed to hurry to move you through to make quick turnover. Hard to beat for value and service making this superior to many 4 stars + hotels in Bangkok. A real bargain in Riverview Hotels.…
My family have stayed at this lovely riverside hotel every year for last 10 years but today I get up at 7.30 go to pool and find less than a dozen sunbeds and even less brolleys.Where have all the sunbeds gone????.what is the point of having a nice pool and setting with nowhere to sit .I don't do lying on the grass very disappointed
This hotel got good reviews, but I was not impressed. I stayed for one week, which, I discovered is far too long, in this area. 3-4 days are absolutely the maximum to stay, in this part of Bangkok. Starting with the positive: the breakfast buffet is excellent. It starts at 0600, until 1030. Tip: get there the earlier the better. If you arrive much after 0830-0845, you’ll regret it - It’s positively bedlam / not enjoyable by 0900- you’ll stand in line everywhere, and seating is hard to find. Now the negatives: I was very disappointed by the quality of reception staff. I am Accor Platinum: I have spent 80 nights already this year, in Thailand Ibis hotels, and hands down, this is the least friendly group in any hotel. Not efficient; no greetings; no smiles; everything was merely perfunctory. The internet was horrible- constantly logging me off = hugely annoying! Speaking of the internet, as with all Ibis properties, the outlet for charging phones was nowhere near the bed. This is the major irritant I find with all Ibis hotels: how is it they are clueless that folk like to lie in bed while simultaneously charging their phones? The hotel is 6/10 of a mile ( 1 kilometer ) from the Iconsiam mall, which has fabulous food options. It’s a 15 minute walk to / from the Ibis. Walk through the mall and exit the back doors to get the Chao Phraya Tourist Boat, at Pier #1. In one direction, Wat Arun is 5 minutes away, and the Grand Palace is 15 minutes by ferry. In the other direction, Asiatique is 8 minutes by ferry. The ferry ride is 30 baht, per ride.…
Fantastic to stay here when you travel with dog. Nice service, good breakfast. Nice sit with swimming pool and look the river activity. Near everything, like mall, restaurant, bar and all what you want experience in Bangkok. Also not expensive place to stay.
The hotel has a nice feel to it. Only 7 floors and compact. The location is great. Right by the river where you can sit and watch the disco boats and tugs ply their trade. They also have a happy hour amd you get a free beer. Pool is a good size and not overly busy. Food is good. A choice of western or Thai at a reasonable cost and quality. The rooms are a good size, if rather functional. With a small bathroom. Some have a view of the river. I had a standard room. There are superior rooms which I didn’t see. The bed is a good size if hard. You can store your cases underneath which is good. There is minimal storage for clothes. The only problem is there is no sound cladding between the rooms so you hear everything! If someone has their TV on late at night you’ve had it. You can also hear talking. So noise pollution is bad. Take ear plugs as a pillow over your ears is not enough. The staff are friendly and attentive. This is a good basic hotel at a good price in a great location.…
We stayed here for 3 nights recently, this was our 4th visit here. Occupancy was low as Bangkok is still quiet. Everything was up to the usual high standard, other than the service in the bar / restaurant. Other than when you first sat down, nobody asked if you'd like any further drinks. This was the same during the day, when you were at the pool. We ate in the restaurant every night, which was very quiet. Our good arrived at different times and when my wife's dish eventually turned up it was cold. The only member of staff yhat seemed bothered was the young lady, the rest were totally incompetent/ disinterested. Other than when it came to presenting the bill.
Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Very basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. Great outdoor (riverside) restaurant and massage Sala. Perfect for one or two nights. If you are an adventurous budget traveller they offer a shuttle to the local station and you can make your way to and from the airport very easily. Would stay again happily.
