I found the Amber really nice to stey at. I have stayed there 3-4 times a year for a couple of years. The Staff has been incredible writing out directions in Thai for taxi drivers. Its off Silom rd about 30 M so it is very quiet. There is a pretty good Italian/Pizza place around the corner.

Very friendly and helpful staff even though not all of them speak English. Great ambiance in the hotel. The hotel does not offer massage facilities and this service is very poor in the neighborhood to the extend that when masseuse see female customers they refuse to provide services. I wish hotel could have recommend some nice places to go. We...

This hotel is nice and quiet. We stayed here after arriving in Bangkok and slept well after our flight! The rooms are very nice - I would say luxury. There is a street not far which sells good street food, other than that we did not find much to do around the local area. However the hotel was lovely. Breakfast...

As I was given the key card to check in my room, I noticed that I could not find my key when I was about to open my room. I got down and advised receptionist 'Top' to give me a temporary key 'cause I could not find it. Top wanted to charge me 200 baht right away for the lost...

We absolutely loved this place! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Wi-fi is available in all rooms and all with A/C. I definitely recommend it and would love to stay there again. Plus it is very convenient as the Sky Train is at walking distance, Silom is a great location where to stay. Good value for money too!

Nice hotel, no pool which is shame, but staff good, clean, attentive and bed good. well situated for easy access to just about any requirement, little hick up over a broken coffee cup, but stood my ground and we came to agreement. all in all not bad hotel for the money. Breakfast is very basis, but ok.

The hotel is lovely. Big comfy beds and nice enough bathroom. It was a bit further out of the City than we had realised, a trip in a Tuk Tuk to Koa San Road took about 20 mins for 200 baht. We didn't have breakfast or food at the hotel but they offered room service if required. There were a...

We stayed here 4 nights. A few minutes walk from the sky train station Chong Nonsi and Silom metro station. We also walked to the Oriental Pier for the river boats everyday, around 20 minute walk. Breakfast was simple, but toast, fruit and yoghourts were available, along with cereals. Service was good. Our room was huge, nice comfy bed, plenty...

We had three rooms here in January 2016. It's not an ideal tourist location, but the rate reflects that and it's very good value for money. Rooms are quite small and, for me, the main issue with that is the fact that the beds comprise a mattress on top of a large wooden frame - and the frame extends approx...

They forgot our welcome drink while the next guests 5 min later all got one eventhough it was in the terms on booking.com. What I really found rude is that instead of charging me for the room in baht they charged it to me in Euro's (which you have to agree to normally). I had to find out on my...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
