Spent 2 nights stopping at this hotel at beginning of my trip to Thailand and found hotel to be good value for money. In a brilliant location right in middle of khao san road. Staff we're friendly and check in and out was quick and efficient. Hotel has an excellent rooftop pool. Room i had was fairly basic but done...

Cheap hotel but a very poor stay, bad customer service and very noisy! Only good point I could mention about the hotel is its location other than that no good points. Rooms unclean and shower was very poor! Don't stay here if you need a good night sleep! Far too loud at night until around 2am.

At Khaosan Palace you are right in the middle of wild, boisterous, fun Khaosan Road, which, everyone agrees, is the epicenter of SouthEast Asia. At US$16 for a single, I doubt if you can find a better deal which matches the cleanliness, comfort, friendly staff and strategic location of this hotel. One thing, though, as anyone who has been to Khaosan...

The rooms are nice and clean. Just don't look under the bed! You have airconditioning, tv and a safe in the room. Don't trust the cleaning ladies, they watch you when you leave your room. We locked it from the inside out and put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Then they don't come in. All in all...

The only 2 reasons you should book this hotel is the pool and the location. Smack bang in the middle of Khaosan Road (overrated) and in a great location to explore Bangkok. But the pool is the daddy! Bangkok is boiling hot, and after exploring you can run up there, get great views of the city and cool off like...

In Bangkok I booked a Hotel to stay in for three nights. I was very impressed. Although the street was a bit noisy and vile.. The hotel itself was average and I'd happy stay here again. Pool area was relaxing and made various friends, mainly travellers. I'd happily stay here again.

We booked a premier room but what we got was anything but premier! I knew it would be slightly noisy being on Khao San Road, however it was so bad we had to sleep with ear plugs in! Also when asking to be switched rooms we were told as we has booked a premier room they were all at the...

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly and the room was clean. But if you get a budget room which was about 750 baht a night you are in for a restless night. To be honest they did warn me about the noise in the cheaper rooms. But I thought after a few beers I...

It's a shame that we felt we had to write a bad review for this place as the hotel itself is actually quite nice. We had just spent a month travelling and staying in very cheap hostels so thought we would treat ourselves to somewhere nice for the end of our holiday. My boyfriend had banged his head in the...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
