We stayed here for 2 nights and its right in the middle of koh San road. We paid £22 for 2 for a deluxe twin thinking after paying half that we would get a nice room. The room was OK but not as nice as the pictures looked, bits of paint missing off the wall. Our window looked onto another... More

when we first arrived in Bangkok the street we stayed in was a lot quieter. There was a hotel across the road from the hostel we were staying in and thought it would be a better place to stay after all the traveling. We checked the rooms out online on their website and decided after all the hostel living a... More

I intended to stay in this hotel for 3 days when arrived. But after checking in it was decided that I will check out the very next day. Rooms are very small, one small Windows which after opening allowing u to view in other room, which was relatively at a lower angle. No drinking water provided. Upon asking they said... More

It's fine if your on a week drinking holiday. Rooftop pool and nice chill area. Rooms are ok for Thailand. Little bit pricey but you are right in the height of khaosan as the name suggests. No one knows how to smile but if I worked there and saw the same pissed up Brits day in day out, i'de probably... More

I would definetly recommed the Khaosan Palace, it is smack bang in the middle of the Khaosan Road, the room was very large, clean, there was a safe, fridge and free water. We asked for a quiet room and got one on the ground floor behind reception. Perfect. Couldn't fault it for cheap accommodation on the Khaosan Road. Luggage storage... More

Overall - Stay if you want quick access to attractions. Else skip it. Pros - Good value for money - located at a central location and easy access to all major attractions ( in and around 3 kms) - Nice rooftop swimming pool Cons - Bad wifi - Bad service - Rude staff - Small room

Rooms where small but for a budget price it's what you expect. Pool is much smaller then in the pictures. Staff are probably the most unfriendly I have come across in Asia! But for 2/3 days shopping on khoa San road it's ideal!

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
