I stayed for 4 nights in the Eastin and would return in future.

The views from our room were amazing. It was a joy to wake up every day to the Bangkok skyline. Our room was very comfortable, with a huge bed and plenty of storage space. We were given two bottles of complimentary water each day which was well received. Laundry service is available and there’s a safe in the wardrobe. Air con worked even when you took the card out of the electricity slot, so the room was always nice and cool.

Dining was excellent. Breakfast each day had a great selection...you could order eggs to be made however you wanted (poached, scrambled, etc). There was also an omelette station, plus a huge buffet of western (including pancakes, sausages, bacon and more) and Asian (including sushi, steamed buns, rice, soup, and more) foods. We ate in the poolside restaurant a number of times and food was always good. Also happy hour between 17:00 and 19:00 was good value (50% off all drinks, except wine!).

The hotel was extremely clean and well kept. Service was friendly and any staff we encountered were very nice.

We loved the pool area and the views from the infinity pool. However, the reason this is a 4 star review instead of 5 star is because it was sometimes difficult to get a sun lounger by the pool. To add to the frustration, people would reserve loungers with their towels and then disappear for ages. Also, it was annoying having to log in to the WiFi each day (instead of staying logged in for the duration of our stay, we had to reenter username and password every single day).

Finally, the Eastin is well located and considering traffic, has the huge advantage of being directly connected to Surasak BTS station (5 stops away from the Jim Thompson House). There’s an excellent restaurant next door to the hotel called the Blue Elephant which is worth a visit for their set menu which changes daily. 10 minutes walk will bring you to Infinity Spa Silom, which does a lovely massage (and is slightly cheaper than what the Eastin offers). 15 minutes walk is Silom Thai Cookery School, which is definitely worth a visit if you’re loving Thai food and want to learn how to make it.

Dear D2271HHlouisef, Greetings from Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok and thank you for choosing us for your recent visit to Bangkok. We are also pleased that you have taken the time to write about your experience, as we really value feedback from guests because it only makes us better as we strive for excellence and ensure that all of our incredible guests have an extraordinary stay with us. I would also like to thank you for the very nice comments you made about our hotel, including the excellent dining options, comfortable rooms, great location and wonderful staff. Whilst you were very happy with most elements of your visit, I did see your comment with regard to the internet connection and having to log on each day, for which I apologise. This is standard procedure in most hotels, but we will extend our connection times in future. I also thank you for bringing this to my attention. With regard to guests leaving towels on chairs and sun loungers around the pool area for long periods of time, I will ensure our staff on duty at the pool follow correct policies and procedures and make sure that these are shared equitably amongst guests. May I end by saying that I hope you had a delightful time in Thailand and we hope to see you again the next time you are in Bangkok. Best regards, John Westoby (Mr.) General Manager Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn Bangkok

Visiting family that I haven't seen in a year, booked a Premium and Executive Deluxe with lounge access. Prior to my booking, I actually had my family research a few other, pricier hotels I won't name (in person) on the Chao Phraya, and let's just say their inquiries were met with indifference. The price and BTS connection is what really sold me.

We were whisked up to the lounge for check in, served refreshments, and escorted to our rooms (conveniently located next to each other, no request made). My corner room was absolutely spotless, with a nice view of the King Power Mahanakhon and Bangkok traffic. I'm a city guy, having spent my days watching cars go by so I don't need a river view (though it can be seen in the distance).

The lounge food and service is outstanding. Staff is very attentive, will remember your wine order, and keep it filled. There was a particular duck that was only served during breakfast. My father mentioned this in passing during the cocktail reception, and the staff brought out a plate for him! I also got a birthday cake.

BTS is connected to the hotel, one quick stop from Saphan Taksin. Super convenient, just like the Bangkok metro itself. Never had to take a taxi, or deal with traffic. Front desk broke my large bills, no problem.

The hotel also gave me a 15% discount for hotel dining. I can't recall if was for the duration of my stay, or a room specific deal, but if you want to enjoy a few bottles of wine by the pool into the Bangkok night, it will save you a few baht.

Now for the nitpicking:

The tub takes forever to fill. If you want a bubble bath, turn on that faucet an hour ahead.

I asked the front desk for the nearest nail salon for a mani/pedi. They had no clue. They suggested a nail place on the BTS platform. Paid the fare to enter the platform, only to find out they only did nail coloring. I eventually found one on my own. Not entirely their fault. Even Google sent me to a non-existent place.

Room occupancy. Two adults maximum isn't going to cut it for my June visit. There is plenty of room for a third in a suite. That is the one thing preventing me from returning :(

I sincerely apologize to the wonderful staff for not remembering their names. You all deserve greater recognition than I can provide in this review for the outstanding service and experience provided to me and my family.

This is my second time to stay here and I still maintain the same opinion: Highly attentive yet impersonal. You don’t get remembered by staff if you know what I mean. But once you are approached by one, you are well treated and get a 5 star service.

Location: although on a street which is busy with cars, Silom street is just a street behind, and you will find shops and massage places around there.

Also, hotel connected to Surasak BTS station via a tunnel directly accessed from third floor, and that can take take you anywhere. Only a station away from Sathon taksi, which gives you access to river boats.

Rooms: comfortable beds, spacious, nice bathroom, and great water temperature and pressure.

Service: excellent. We had trouble with old electric plugs, they sent someone to change the whole board there and then!

They sent us extra complementary water every time we requested, and accepted a late checkout at 2 pm.

Food: only tried their lobby restaurant. Happy hour 50% on drinks from 5-7 pm, and variable discounts on food Up to 50% till 10 pm. Special thanks to CREAM and LEK on their friendly and excellent service.

Pool: infinity pool excellent, nice to swim in and sunbathe around. Pool restaurant is very pricey though.

Generally, a very pleasant stay. Recommended!

P.S: if you found the review helpful, please press like to encourage me to keep sharing my travel experiences.

What a great count down night we had at the Eastin Grand Sathorn. My family of 5 and my in-laws spent the New Year’s eve night there and we loved it so much. We loved everything from the check in till the check out. The room was spacious, clean and very neat! The pool was great. Topped with the fantastic view looking over one of the main roads of Bangkok. the pool, even though was rather crowded but there was always rooms there.

There were many choices of parties to suit your moods at very reasonable prices on the New Year’s eve night. We chose to start our countdown by the pool, then moved to the main event! Food, drinks, music and services were excellent and beyond our expectations. We all had a wonderful time kicking off our 2020!

The hotel situates in the right location for the firework displays too, not too close and not too far! Just perfect to see the fireworks lit up across the skyline of Bangkok. Splendid!

All in all, we had a fantastic time. Highly likely we will go back there again. What a great value!!!!!!

We stayed here for the last days in Thailand before heading home. The connection by train from the Airport to the hotel is really easy and fast. The breakfast has a great variety of options and the lunch on the 14th floor was also really good. We opted to check out at 9 PM (since our flight departure was at midnight) and got informed that there was a possibility to obtain a breakfast box if requested earlier since we had payed for our breakfast and overnight stay. It's a pity they didn't inform us ealier considering we had emailed them prior to inform the flight departure at midnight.

The swilmming pool is a great asset if you want to unwind for the day. The staff is friendly and helpful! It can get really crowed at the pool area so if you're planning on sunbathing for the day get there before 10AM if you want to get a sun bed. The fitness is open 24h which is great if you're an early riser or late sporter. The view is really nice while working out and everything is really clean. The rooms are spatious and clean. We surely enjoyed our stay!

Travelled to Bangkok for Christmas and New Year, Someplace hot and a luxury hotel. The hotel was superb. We were allocated a room near the top of the building and the views were great.

We upgraded to an executive package which gave us access to an executive lounge which had all day snacks and soft drinks, well worth the upgrade. Hotel was spotless and the room itself good. although it was tight.

Pool area could get busy and there were some individuals who tried to reserve sun loungers - that was against the hotel policy. Spoke with the staff and that was addressed quickly.

Food at hotel was excellent, the buffet always had a good choice of food and was presented well. we ate generally at the executive lounge as the larger restaurant was busy and it didn't offer significantly much more choice to warrant making the trip down.

The hotel itself is located in Sathorn and it is easy enough to get around Bangkok from the hotel. The Skytrain links to the hotel and you can travel cross the city relatively easily.

Id recommend the hotel as it was good and they were very helpful.

We spent a night to celebrate our daughters' 8th birthday, and we are very happy for this choice: the level of service, comfort and attention to detail in the Eastin Sathorn was exceptional.

The attitude of their staff, the quality of the room and the dinner at their restaurant, Bluenos, were absolutely delightful. We also had breakfast in bed (food & cutlery hygienically wrapped, etc.) and the quality was superb as well.

Our family has visited many hotels through the years and since the start of the pandemic, most properties have downgraded their services and experiences as a measure to cut costs (which we feel is the wrong approach to maintain customer loyalty) but the Eastin offers such a high level of service and attention, that this weekend felt like the best birthday present. All in comfort, luxury and with social distancing and hygiene practices.

We loved it. We recommend a staycation here, and for those visiting Bangkok from other parts, consider the Eastin for your stay. You'll be glad you did.

We stayed in two different rooms, superior room on 21st floor and executive deluxe on 20th floor. Both rooms were big enough for us, of course executive deluxe slightly larger with much bigger bathroom with a bathtub. For executive deluxe we had also lounge access available, which was really nice addition. During happy hour from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm you can enjoy complimentary cocktails, wine, beer and good selection of hors d'oeuvres (also warm), you can really fill yourself with those if not feel like going out for dinner.

With lounge access, you can also have breakfast at the lounge on 32nd floor instead of the the restaurant in the 5th floor. Selection on the lounge is a little bit smaller (but you can order eggs prepared according to your wishes to table along with crepes or pancakes. 5th floor can get quite noisy already early in the morning.

Pool area is super, only thing is that especially late afternoon gets full and you can't find a free sunbed. High-end restaurant prices for drinks at the pool, so quite expensive, but happy hour from 5pm to 7pm with 50% prices (not 2 for 1, but really 50% off).

Staff smiling, friendly and helpful, made you feel welcomed.

Location is excellent, skywalk brigde from third floor straight to Surasak BTS station.

I would choose Eastin Grand Hotel Sathorn again when going to Bangkok

Spent 10 nights here, over Christmas and new year.

Staff, all very efficient, friendly, nothing too much trouble.

Pool area, infinity pool, can get crowded on busy days, ie when we were there. Sun bed area is small and limited direct sunshine, pool is bit chilly for most tastes but once you,ve taken the plunge it,s fine and the views are amazing. Food up here is pricey as you would expect but very good quality.

We upgraded to an executive room, def worth it. You get access to the lounge all day, drink, snack,s, early evening meal (light snacks and treats). Well worth paying that little more, also have your own concierge up here. We only ventured down to the main breakfast area once and felt it was too noisy and like a rugby scrum.

Rooms were clean, but bit on the small side. We did have our daughter sleeping on a small bed, but even so, in comparison to other five star hotels we,ve stayed in the room was small.

Location was chosen as although bit out of centre of town, it has direct sky train into the city, so very handy.

Bar area is at the pool, caters for younger market, ie loud music blares away in the evenings, but cool place to spend a night after all the shopping.

We very much enjoyed our stay in an executive room with lounge access - the premium paid for the lounge access was definitely worth it. It provides an extra option to have breakfast at the top floor (until 11:30 am !) and to enjoy an extensive evening reception (17:30 till 19:30) with an extensive and good quality food and dessert choice, as well as excellent cocktails. Staff at the lounge provided personalized service. The package also included 3 pieces of free laundry per day, which is well appreciated for longer stays.
Breakfast in the main restaurant (5th floor) was also of high quality. A great food choice, good atmosphere and attentive service. Clearly well managed.
Hotel location is very central and there is a direct link bridge to the BTS Skytrain, which is helpful as Sathorn Road can be very congested at peak times. Taking the BTS rather than a taxi is always the better option (also for the air quality in Bangkok, which is in bad shape).
We found the price / quality equation of the Eastin Grand Sathorn to compare positively versus many of the international hotels in Bangkok, where we stayed earlier.
