Amazing place, great hotel. Just 500 meters away from Khao San Road, which you won't even notice at your room since it is such a tranquil place. Most unique part of the experience was having breakfast in the garden while observing white squirrels playing. Incredible service, staff did not bother to get up at 06.30 to make me a take-away...

This was our first time to Thailand and the first leg of our trip. We could not have picked a better place to stay to start our vacation. The staff at Baan Noppawong are beyond accommodating. The facilities are well kept and the building itself is beautifully simple and lively. There is an old world charm about this place. When...

It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service. Friendly and helpful receptionists. Food was beyond good and great value for money. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay, and although short and sweet this time, I hope to be back for a longer visit.

We Japanese stayed to avoid bustle of the big city Bangkok. We never received the quiet and warm heart hospitality here in the past of our trip experience. We found cute squirrels on the green tree at the time of breakfast and little bird also. Is it in Bangkok? Yes true! Staff members always show kindness to our requirements for...

Pretty good location as it's walking distance to Khao San Road and couples of temples. May not be easily located by the taxi driver though as it's off the main road. The deluxe room is rather small with a queen sized bed. No optional dark curtain shades which means you've to wake up at 6am plus following the sun. Breakfast...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Baan Noppawong is the finest small hotel located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, in the middle of Bangkok historical district. In the past, it was a two-story wooden house exquisitely built in the 19th century, during the reign of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), for M.L. Ditsaphong Noppawong and Mrs. Salee Noppawong Na Ayudhaya. Nowadays the dilapidated house has been renovated by preserving its original characteristic and gorgeous elements. ... more   less
