A very small boutique hotel. Charming, great breakfast, lovely room and surprising + loveable "towel" animals. Very good location! The best: the manager Buppha and her assistant Nan! So helpful and generous! It would have been difficult without them!

Love the ambience of Baam Noppawong! It has the cosyness of a home stay and the comfort level of a hotel. The location is perfect and famous landmarks and monuments are all within walking distance. I will definitely recommend Baan Noppawong to anyone who intends to explore this side of Bangkok.

I was here for asia-link sketchwalk 2016 and my partner accompanied me here prior to the event. What we can say is that the room is not only very clean, its whole ambience is remarkably tranquil and special.. The staffs are very helpful and friendly, especially the manager who is also lovely. The location is good, central to all the... More

This is a great place to stay in central Bangkok, within walking distance of main sights and Kho San road, but beautifully decorated in traditional style, quiet and peaceful. Very friendly staff, with excellent breakfast provided in the small garden. Make sure you note address in Thai for taxi drivers - it ain't an easy place to find!

My brother and I were in Bangkok for a few days and had booked one night at Baan Noppawong. We arrived to the hotel hours before we were due to check in. We were greeted with warm smiles, allowed to change our clothes (it was a long journey) and store our bags. We returned later to check in properly and... More

This is a perfect start to our trip! We picked this place because of the location and how clean it looked on line. When we arrive I was taken back by it true beauty! Not to mention you can literally walk to khoa san road and most of temples. Tons of sights to see no more then 10min walk!

Nice hotel in the Rattanakosin area of Bangkok. The gran palace is 30 min walk distant and for Kao San Road is just 5 minutes. The building of the hotel is colonial style with large and confortable rooms realy nice furnished. The staff is extremely kind.

We loved staying here during our visit to Bangkok. The manager is just delightful, speaks good English and couldn't do enough to make our stay a pleasure. However ... I would suggest if you're booking here that you not only have the address printed in Thai, but also print a location map in Thai. Our taxi driver had a lot... More

We especially recommend the junior suite with it's tropical shower but also lived in standard room that is typically Thai and beautiful aswell. Kings Palace and other POI within walking distance. Try the fresh scrumbled eggs for breakfast, served with delicisous vegetables. If it's not raining breakfast is served under palm trees in the backyard. Great and very friendly hosts.... More

This was a great choice for us as our main goal while staying in Bangkok was to see the Grand Palace and temples. It was a straight walk down the main road to them. Since the hotel is right beside the big Democracy Monument it made it easy for us to figure out how to get back to the hotel... More

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Baan Noppawong is the finest small hotel located on Ratchadamnoen Klang Road, in the middle of Bangkok historical district. In the past, it was a two-story wooden house exquisitely built in the 19th century, during the reign of King Prajadhipok (Rama VII), for M.L. Ditsaphong Noppawong and Mrs. Salee Noppawong Na Ayudhaya. Nowadays the dilapidated house has been renovated by preserving its original characteristic and gorgeous elements. ... more   less
