The lodge is near the Democracy Monument and the Kaosan Place... Not advisable if rallies are frequent but highly recommendable in terms of the price, location, cleanliness and the breakfast... Great value for money indeed.

A week before we checked in we were emailed by the hotel and given a map to print out for directions directly to the hotel, which was really helpful. We only stayed for 1 night, checked in fairly late and got shown to our room. The Wi-Fi worked well and the security of the building was good as you needed...

Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff were friendly and breakfasts were good. Plenty to see and do nearby with great sightseeing and shopping on your doorstep, but just out of the madness so you can get a good night's rest.

The hotel is central, walking distance from lots of main attractions and food spots. The breakfast included in our room rate was amazing, loads of good quality and fresh variety. Hot, cold and traditional options. The staff were understanding and polite, and the rooms are spacious with great air conditioning (which is much needed this time of the year). Hot...

A good basic hotel. Very clean, very quiet, and good proximity to khao san roads area for shopping, restaurants and bars, the grand palace and several of the key wats. It's really just a place to sleep and have breakfast though - no bar area, balconies, garden or anything like that - but given khao san road is 5 minutes...

We were very pleased with this hotel (guesthouse), it is near major landmarks of Bangkok. we booked this hotel in advance, and got from the hotel a map by mail which we can handover to the taxi driver so he can find the hotel very easy.

We booked one 2-bedrooom apartment and one superior bedroom apartment last week. Well, compared to the ones we had in Phuket, this is really not a hotel. It looks like more of a hostel or motel for some. But I assure that no one can just go inside the hotel for the doors are really secured. Talking about the 2...

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and mother-in-law. The rooms are nice, staff is very polite and helpful. Not everyone can understand English but will still try to help you as mush as possible. The only problem is the approach road. It's a little difficult to fine this place.

This place is hard to find originally, even though it's a stones throw from one of the cities most recognizable landmarks (Democracy Monument) right off of the Old Cities biggest streets. The Circle that surrounds the Monument has a restaurant called "Sidewalk Cafe" (its name) and you walk down the alley for one minute and find it. If you have...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
