Seems like a lot is happening in this hotel. Definitely geared towards a younger crowd. Walking distance to some main roads. Nice hotel, nice pool, nice vibe and views. I highly recommend it. Staff is very friendly.

I usually stay at Sofitels all over the world and this is by far the best one. First of all, it's absolutely stunning. From the lobby to the infinity pool and high so sky bar, it's a gorgeous modern hotel. I love how sofitels go the extra mile with the delicios room fragrances everywhere including the elevators, this was no...

This is one of the best hotels in which we’ve ever stayed. The design is so cooly done, right from the stylish and various staff uniforms, to the design of the ground floor up to the 9th for check-in, and up to the rooms. We got a room with a view of the park and I highly recommend this. Every...

Can't think of a better way to start our mini-tour of Thailand than to stay here for a few nights. Only a short walk from the Lumpini metro stop, this hotel is perfectly located for stunning views across Lumpini Park (especially from the pool!). Like all hotels I stayed at in Thailand, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The...

We paid just £80 with Tesco points converted and spent 2 nights in this, the second best hotel we have ever stayed in aside from the Langham Hilton in London. Absolutely first class, luxurious, top notch staff and a corner room to die for overlooking the park. Only a couple of hundred baht to Silom Road with a fabulous Lumpini...

So Sofitel is a modern, upscale hotel in central Bangkok right across from Lumphini Park. Booked a So Cozy room direct through the hotel website, and a return transfer closer to the arrival date. The hotel sent exact instructions where to go upon arrival at the airport, and the representative was waiting as promised. Hassel free with my bags taken...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
