This hotel located below the BTS station of Phra Khanong. Easy access if you want to explore the city with BTS. There is no elevator on the hotel, so I must using stairs to reach my room at fifth floor. The room is big, with so-called garden view, but the view is not important for me. You can not smoke...

This hotel is cheap and right off the BTS station which is so convenient to get anywhere in BKK! The staff is very nice, friendly, and lovely! The rooms are clean, and there is a lounge room with tea, coffee, and water. My friends and I enjoyed this hotel that we rebooked it for the next week. The only con...

We had three nights here and stayed four people in a family room. The room was actually quite large, with a sink and a kettle so you can make a cup of coffee or tea. The bathroom is also ok. Not flashy - but with hot water. It is the most important to us. The Mix hotel is located right...

We stayed one night when our bookings at the Jasmine Hotel next door were wrongly made and we had to leave early as Jasmine were full. We had room 402 which is at the front and was very noisy from traffic ,better to ask for a rear room. TV did not work properly. Wifi was patchy and no lift so...

My sister stayed in this hotel and we visited her there. There were a few discrepancies with what was advertised. Main problem was that I had to carry a heavy suitcase up six floors as there is no lift. The decor is very dated and the room was over priced for was offered. Safety deposit box did not work, there...

As I am writing this review, I am looking at the photo above that is supposed to represent The Mix Bangkok. This isn't even close to what we experienced. We are a family of 5, and we had just spent 10 days in China, and we were just starting our Thailand adventure. The hotel is easy to find from the...

We stayed at The Mix for a couple of nights, just around Songkran 2013. The place was ok. Probably it's best feature is that it's just on the exit of one of the BTS stations (Phra Khanong) which makes it excellent to move around the huge and chaotic city without having to take a taxi. Still, it took us about...

Decent hotel on the SkyTrain's Sukhumvit line. The room was of a decent size and the staff were helpful. The complimentary breakfast was quite poor - self-service, no butter for the toast for the whole stay, instant coffee, and no kettle one morning. Overall, I'd say it was fine if you want to stay at that end of town. In...

This hotel is located in Bangkok at sukumvit soi 65. Soi in thailand means a street or a lane. This is a good hotel although the travel from the Don Muang airport can get a little over your heads amidst overwhelming traffic of bangkok. Never make the mistake of renting a car in Bangkok. Take the taxi, it is cheap...

Staying in Thong Lor & Ekamai

Neighbourhood Profile
Thong Lor & Ekamai
Known as Bangkok’s hippest neighbourhood, Thong Lor and Ekamai is where the city's well-dressed and well-heeled spend their nights sipping cocktails in hidden speakeasies and posh restaurants. Live it up in one of Thong Lor's extravagant clubs and be prepared to brush shoulders with a Thai celebrity or two. While great for a night out, the area is nothing short of interesting during the daytime, either. Expect a mix of savvy coffee shops, pop-up bars and loads of vintage stores, brought to you by hip locals with eyes for design.
