I have traveled extensively across the globe, and have been fortunate to stay in some of the world's best hotels, and I cannot express how impressed I was by The Siam. I almost don't want to write this review, because I want this hotel to remain a special secret! I grew up in a family of hoteliers and restaurateurs, and...

Within the central part of the hotel there is water, palms and ferns that center each of the suites offering a calm and tranquil inner sanctum. Colonial inspired yet modern design is intermixed with nostalgic and romantic pieces from the past making the property ever so visually appealing - a surprise awaits on every turn of the eye. The cream...

This is an absolute stunning hotel. The decor is divine and the service from the staff matches the ambiance of the hotel- excellent. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped and the butler Than was fantastic. My only advice is to be careful around the pool area, both me and my husband slipped on the pool tiles and I...

The Siam is near popular places to visit so it is easy to reach those sites from the hotel. This is an aesthetically pleasing hotel. Our room was so convenient and clear with big bathroom. The staffs were really attentive and supportive.

Been reading about The Siam Hotel in the books only...... but it's more fantastic in actual. Nicely designed. Loved the dramatic lighting. Landscape was also one of a kind. A salute to Bill Bensley the architect.

Dear Bent G, Thank you for your comments after your recent experience at The Siam. I would agree that Bill Bensley has created a wonderful urban resort on the banks of the Chao Praya River which is complimented by the personal art collection of the Sukosol owning family. A truly remarkable and unique collaboration which our guests enjoy exploring for...

I do not normally review the luxury hotels, and try to help smaller establishments, but our stay at The Siam was so magical, I felt compelled to write something. For Valentines Day we treated ourselves to this oasis of tranquility for our last day in Bangkok. The whole hotel is black and white is except, of course, lushest green foliage...

What an amazing experience! Every detail of this hotel is first rate. The decor, the staff, the food/drinks, the rooms. Wow! If you're ok staying outside of the city (you have access to their private water taxi), this place is a must. We are a family of hotel snobs and have seen a lot of great places around the world,...

Staying in Dusit

Neighbourhood Profile
Dusit
When wandering around the Dusit Palace grounds, you'd almost forget you're still in a Southeast-Asian city. The Renaissance-style buildings and leafy gardens wouldn't be out of place in an European capital, and the serenity here is in stark contrast with the chaotic city life outside of its complex walls. Dusit is one of Bangkok's oldest districts, and while the rest of Bangkok is modernising at a rapid pace, Dusit seems to have stood the test of time. Come here to find family businesses in traditional shophouses, small-scale local markets and streets unfazed by modern city life.
