I booked this place for 2 nights after a recommendation from a friend. I did like the hostel : clean bathrooms, comfortable bed and good wifi. It was a shame that when I woke up in the morning and turned the light on there was a bedbug on my pillow... on looking down the side of the mattress I also...

Dear Julieanne, First of all, we would like to thank you for your kind feedback and also please accept our apologies for the inconvenience that may have caused. Secondly, please allow us to explain about the bedbugs and their problem. They're not attracted to dirt, so bedbugs infestation isn't a sign of an unclean place and may be come from...

Stayed in the double room (there is only one in the entire place). The interiors are charming, facilities are shared but generally clean. Breakfast is minimalistic but satisfying. They have a (extremely strict, it turned out) no-visitor policy which one is noted of only upon check-in as one of many points in the terms & conditions. I did not take...

Great stay here for my last couple of nights in bangkok. Stayed with my two friends who I was also travelling with. No faults at all. Great location away from the noise of the KSR but only a 5 min walk to Rambuttri for all the great bars and restaurants there. Clean bunks and bathrooms with hot showers. The hostel...

This being our first trip to Bangkok on the start of a 6 month trip, this hostel was a good choice. It's clean, has good facilities, its in a good location and provides complimentary breakfast. The wifi was a bit hit and miss but that was ok! The rooms as small but that's kind of expected, I would recommend :)

I stayed here in May for just one night but it was exactly what I wanted. Had previously stayed a bit closer to Khao San and didn't sleep owing to the pounding music and chatter all through the night. Suneta is close to the energy of Khao San but far enough back that a quiet night of sleep can be...

The Suneta hostel was a nice place, well located to go out to Khao San road and other good spots. The guests are not very backpacker-like but still very friendly. All in all it was a good decision to stay there. Everything was clean and towels were provided. Also the staff was kind! Go for it!

pros: comfortable bed, clean shower and toilets, free coffee and tea all day, common room, TV with cable at the common room, location is not far from Khao San Road--where the parties are but quiet enough for us to sleep, fast wifi cons: bed can be a little scary for claustrophobes, noisy fan (to be fair you dont need the...

This was my first hostel alone as a female traveller in Thailand and I felt very welcome and made friends immediately. I selected a pod type bed which gave me some privacy and even had a TV inside. I would recommend it also for the location which is minutes walk from Khaosan Road.

Haven't got a single bad word to say about this hostel. From the moment I walked in, staff and other guests were super welcoming. I was able to store my luggage for free before I checked in. Cheap beer sold at reception and communal lobby area meant it was very easy to socialise and meet other travellers. The location is...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
