I stayed here in May for just one night but it was exactly what I wanted. Had previously stayed a bit closer to Khao San and didn't sleep owing to the pounding music and chatter all through the night. Suneta is close to the energy of Khao San but far enough back that a quiet night of sleep can be...

The Suneta hostel was a nice place, well located to go out to Khao San road and other good spots. The guests are not very backpacker-like but still very friendly. All in all it was a good decision to stay there. Everything was clean and towels were provided. Also the staff was kind! Go for it!

pros: comfortable bed, clean shower and toilets, free coffee and tea all day, common room, TV with cable at the common room, location is not far from Khao San Road--where the parties are but quiet enough for us to sleep, fast wifi cons: bed can be a little scary for claustrophobes, noisy fan (to be fair you dont need the...

This was my first hostel alone as a female traveller in Thailand and I felt very welcome and made friends immediately. I selected a pod type bed which gave me some privacy and even had a TV inside. I would recommend it also for the location which is minutes walk from Khaosan Road.

Haven't got a single bad word to say about this hostel. From the moment I walked in, staff and other guests were super welcoming. I was able to store my luggage for free before I checked in. Cheap beer sold at reception and communal lobby area meant it was very easy to socialise and meet other travellers. The location is...

Over three months of being in Asia we stayed in Bangkok 3 times, two of those times we stayed at suneta. Recommended to us by the Lonely Planet guide, this was the most perfect place in Bangkok to stay if you want to be near the delightful Khao San rd! The beds are super comfy, the first time we stayed...

This was the first place we stayed in when we came to Thailand. It is very clean, and welcoming, with great air conditioning and lovely showers. The dorms are brilliant, really sociable, but at the same time extremely secure and modern, it all felt like a very safe and friendly place to be in. The staff were lovely, and even...

The suneta hostel is one of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed. The staff is pretty friendly and they are willing to help with every issue and also give recommendations for nice places in bangkok. The WiFi is working well and it is a very good place to meet backpackers. If I could I would choose 6 stars for the...

It's very easy to find since khaosan is quite famous. Arrived before check in time but was accommodated when there was a room available. I booked 2 days before I arrived, so there was no available in the ladies' dormitory so I had to book one in the mix dorm. I like the style of the dorm rooms. The bed...

if you want to have a good night sleep and party outside ( a few steps actually) then this is the ultimate hostel for you. They have artsy old siam vibe that lures you to take a good night sleep after all the partying and shopping outside.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
