Have stayed here many times. My last visit a few days ago showed me that the rooms need a major overhaul. Worn dirty carpets, mouldy shower curtains, draws that don't work, refrigerator that is not mounted properly, bed lights not working. Bathroom needs updating. Weather I just got a bad room, not sure. Staff were great along with location. It's...

Our experience at the Disut Thani was extremely disappointing. We were half way through a very long holiday I South East Asia and the Dusit Thani was our only 5* treat. The room we had was awfully tired, the carpets smelled and did not allow me to fall asleep as the smell of old and dirt was so strong. There...

The 1st 5 Star Hotel in Bangkok, and surprisingly still very relavant and enjoyable stay. Was upgraded to a suit room and enjoyed the spacious bathroom. The view can't be complained about as it is in the city, and at a busy intersection. However, it is a 5min walking distance to a mall and close by to shops that you...

Decided to upgrade to Club Room which was worth the extra for the use of the Club Lounge and superior room. Great location opposite Lumpini Park although the wake up call at 8.00 a.m. in the park for the National Anthem was something new. Service from all the Hotel staff could not be bettered. Although some aspects of the hotel...

The Dusit is an elegant hotel centrally-located near Lumpini Park and BTS/skytrain. It includes a number of restaurants/bars and is close to both high-end shopping malls and delicious street food. We stayed in a junior suite which was luxuriously appointed with high quality amenities and free bottled water. Room service was excellent for both Thai and Western dishes (they did...

The hotel presents itself as upscale and luxury. Well, maybe 30-40 years ago that would have worked. Today, their deluxe rooms feel extremely dated and in a desperate need of a refurbishment. Although the lobby and the ground floors are top notch, the hallways in several lower floors are downright disgusting with stains on the floors and skid marks on...

We stayed at the Dusit Thani during the second step of our honey moon. The hotel staff welcomed us very warmly with a rose bouquet. They also took a picture of us holding it, which they later framed and offered to us. The room was nicely decorated with rose petals and was very comfortable. The hotel is pleasant. As one...

Stayed at the D.T Dec 2016 for NY.... Hotel is a well situated for the tourist area of Silom and the buzzing night life. Very close to both the underground link and overground, staff were generally very helpful. Hotel itself is a large complex with plenty of facilities, the outside pool area is rather small considering the size of the...

We spend christmas 2016 at the Dusit Thani in Bangkok. The hotel is very nice, with large rooms and excellent facilities. Great restaurants, gym, SPA. The best part is the location. Located on the corner of two very important avenues and with a Metro and skytrain station just feet away from the entrance.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
