5 star hotel and 5 star service. Rooms are good size and pool/spa is nice after a busy day in hectic Bangkok. I would not say the location is perfect however for seeing the main sights of Bangkok, The Grand Palace for example is a long way across town.

I went with big expectations but alas very disapointed. Starters were barely a bite, the fish (mackarel) was rubber-like and tasteless so honestly i was happy it was a small piece, the broth waterish and the chicken slightly undercooked. Really also did not like looking at the claws still on the chickenleg. Dessert was great. But all in all really... More

Upon arrival until that moment when you have to depart, you will feel welcome at this luxurious 5 Star Bangkok landmark. On a previous visit to Bangkok, I only had the chance to visit the rooftop Moon Bar and I remembered that the views were spectacular. On this trip I was determined to stay at this hotel, I so fondly... More

It is clear that The Banyan Tree has set out to be a world class hotel, and we were expecting something special. We had a pleasant stay, but it didn’t quite deliver to our expectations. We found ourselves being irritated and frustrated by a few minor issues which suggested a lack of attention to detail, perhaps a lack of understanding... More

Loved staying at this hotel for so many reasons. It felt like a breath of fresh air in a crazy busy city. Mr. Wat is awesome! He was so sweet and made sure we got places on time and went out of his way to be helpful and personable with us. Please tell him hi! Happy hour was great, as... More

The level of hospitality here is amazing! The hotel it self is on par with some of the best hotels. I have stayed in hotels around the world and the level of comfort is beyond what could be expected...from the scent in my room daily to my bedding. They make sure you are truly happy. I would definitely recommend this... More

All rooms of BanYanTREE are suites which are very convenient. Beautiful scene in Bangkok can be seen on bed. Aromatic incense freely provided so that i could enjoy good fragrance. And onething I surprised they layed some gift of elephant pendant on bed coming back after sighting. All of their services were really kind and excellent.

We had dinner there on the roof almost 1000 ft above the city, light breeze, not to hot, perfect. We had a mix of flavors, scallops and tuna ceviche for apps, Black Cod and Grass fed Tenderloin for dinner and please leave room for the chocolate cake. Every dish was carefully plated and served at just the right timing and... More

We loved our stay at Banyon Tree and wished we could of stayed longer. They greeted us with flowers and drinks in the lobby and showed us to our room. They had different pillows to choose from to make sure you slept well. Fresh cookies every night and new incense in the morning you could burn. Pool was beautiful and... More

The reason for "Poor" review for this visit would be, I have stayed at this hotel twice before. 1st time was "Excellent" service all the way and then 2nd time stay was just "Average" and was quite surprised from the 1st... but this is my 3rd stay and I cannot believe how their service quality have dropped drastically. I am... More

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
