Located on the 2nd floor of the evergreen laurel hotel on sathorn is their fabulous traditional Taiwanese dim sum restaurant. I've been frequenting here for more than ten years specifically visiting for the dim sum lunch. Exquisite delicacies and the hot and sour soup is something that I wouldn't miss given the chance ! An absolute must for any gastronomes

This has a classic old feel to it but our room still felt new and very clean. Comfortable bed, roomy, and immaculately clean bathroom. This was the best Hotel by far of a recent 2 week trip in Thailand. Great Gym, and fantastic fresh breakfast. Only complaint is i wish the pool was bigger and deeper. Reasonably close to Silom,...

This hotel has luxury style and obviously receive regular maintenance for keeping it nice and clean. You’ll find Victorian furniture style in your room which very impressive as you have to put a lot of effort to keep carpet and furniture so clean in this country (as it’s very dusty in Bangkok). The bathroom is splendid (marble floor and wall,...

Booked this trough priceline and thought this was our best hotel in Bangkok. Clean and well done room. Called for an iron at 11:45pm and within minutes there was a knock at the door. Enjoyed our short stay.

I stayed there in May this year as part of an organized tour, so I have no clue about their regular prices. However, the hotel was very nice, had a small but beautiful pool, nice small gym and sauna, offered 24 hr massage service, breakfast was included, internet was free, AC worked like a charm and was very elegant without...

I've recently been to ELH after I found a special offer... The hotel is nice, it has a gym and a pool where we went in the evening after a long day walk; our room also included breakfast, which offered a good variety of food and which we really enjoyed. The management also offered me a cake for my bday,...

The Evergreen Laurel is a bit worn, but clean and comfortable - not surprising in downtown Bangkok. This is definitely a tourist hotel. The buffet breakfast was OK but seemed to cater more to the Chinese tourists. There is a bar, but it's hard to locate the bartender! All in all a good hotel.

Stayed here for a week during the Lunar New Year, and was very pleased by the level of service and attention. I thought that, being a Chinese hotel, they would lag behind during the holiday, but nothing changed. It's in an okay location, quite near the Skytrain. I'm ashamed to say I ordered room service MULTIPLE times, but it was...

My wife recently had an operation in the nearby BNH hospital and we booked this hotel because it is so close but like other reviewers we were very impressed by the standard of the place. The rooms are spacious and pleasant , the staff could not be more helpful and the amenities were first class. Lots of choice at breakfast...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
