Terrible experience. Very discourteous and impolite concierge staff are bane to this hotel. Tower 3 where I was made to stay is claustrophobic, no ventilation and very impolite staff, not hospitable at all. Hotel is swarmed by prostitutes. Don't go to this hotel.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and on arrival at check in we were told we had been upgraded to one of gene suites! We were obviously really happy with this! The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean (could use a bit of touch up). It's great location as it's on Soy 11; well know...

This hotel as it turns out is a "guest friendly" hotel, a fact that is not advertised anywhere. In other words, a hotel guest is allowed to bring a prostitute to the hotel and spend the night wit her at the hotel and have breakfast with her the next morning in the general breakfast area of the hotel. If you...

I had made a reservation for 11 double rooms at the Grand President Hotel in Sukhumvit. When my group arrived to the hotel, they told us that all the rooms were booked out and that they needed to shift us to their other hotel which was 30 minutes away. I observed that they did this with other travellers also. I...

This was my second stay at Grand President Hotel. I stayed here before, exactly one year ago. It was good value for money then, which is why I decided to stay here again this time. I regret my decision severely. I stayed in the deluxe rooms this time. I had remembered the staff being very courteous, but as soon as...

This is my 1st time in this hotel. Nice lobby area with 3 towers. Only issue is if you are looking for single room probably you will get it on tower 3 which is located right opposite of the hotel. Staff seems to be good and studio room has enough space for two. Main lobby area has main restaurant which...

I stayed in this hotel last week as I was meeting friends in bkk. Check in was decent and the lobby looked ok. I was put in a room in Tower 3 which is the tower on the opposite side of the road. Entering my room it was clear to see it was very old and run down, there had...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
