The location from this hotel is ok because it is near the Silom road. The room looks old and needs to be renovated as well the bathroom. The wifi is useless, very slow. There is little choice at the breakfast buffet. You can order all kind of eggs also pancakes and bacon. I stayed 5 nights and 4 times during...

I have stayed here before and reviewed before. I love Le Siam. The former Swiss Lodge has changed names but fortunately pretty much everything else has stayed the same. In considering this hotel you have to take into account the room rates which, including breakfast, are fantastic. The location is pretty much unbeatable, mere steps from Saladaeng BTS, Silom complex,...

My family end up in Thailand quite often and this is the hotel we choose when in Bangkok. The service is excellent, nothing is too difficult for the staff here. The pool is refreshing, albeit a little small. What really sets this hotel apart are the clean and well kept rooms, the cleanliness of the entire hotel and the restaurant....

Our first and last night of our SE Asia tour was spent at Le Siam hotel (previously called the Swiss Lodge. The staff were helpful and could'nt do enough to ensure our first experience of Bangkok was a good one. Set off the main roads in what can only be described as a pleasant street of places to eat and...

I liked this hotel. I would have loved it if it had wifi that worked properly and air conditioning that eas responsive to adjustment. There is a clock type unit on the wall but even if you turned the dial to 30c , it was still too cold ! The Wifi is ok by day and quite poor at night...

Spent 1 night here and it was comfortable. Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was small (classic) but comfortable. The usual complimentary toiletries is a nice touch. Had a long lie in before our long flight home so did not experience the breakfast. The location is really central for Patpong and Sala Daeng sky train station. Lots of street food...

Just off Silom and close to the Sala Daeng SkyTrain station, a tourist can afford to get around Bangkok and enjoy quiet rooms, comfortable bed, modern amenities. Not a luxury stay, but very nice. Breakfast coffee could be better. Not to worry, an abundance of cafes, bars and eateries as well as shopping surround the Le Siam Lodge (Swiss Lodge).

We had an evening stopover in Bangkok prior to flying on to Phuket. We chose Le Siam because of its close proximity to the Patpong markets so my wife could get her "shopping fix". The hotel was comfortable and reasonably priced. A good 3 star standard. It scores a 4 rating because of value for money.

Early this year The Swiss Lodge was rebranded as Le Siam Hotel for licencing reasons. The Hotel is located in Convent Road (Soi 3 Silom Road) a short walk from the Sala Daeng Sky Train station providing easy access to much of Bangkok. There are many restaurants and bars within an easy walk of the hotel and it is a...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
