Positives first. The room was kept spotlessly clean by the maid. The breakfast was okay, an extra coffee machine would have made the experience a little less annoying. The location is fine for a 10 minute walk to Asok BTS station but seems to be a bit difficult at times for taxis to enter and exit. Now to the review. We were visiting for a very special occasion, one which most couples don’t achieve. Our agent had made that clear to the hotel probably in the hope that we’d be allocated a nice room. Our room was described as “superior”. The dictionary definition of that word is “higher in rank, status, or quality”. We were hopeful. On arrival after a 24 hour trek we were allocated a room from the year 1983. Please see photos attached, I’d like to describe each one but no time. You’ll see it’s almost entirely brown, hasn’t been updated since it was installed by workmen who will have long since seen retirement, still has a phone in the toilet so you can pretend you’re JR from Dallas, has artwork in the toilet which is verging on indescribable and a non HD TV which shows, nothing you’d want to watch in single digit resolution. On looking out of the window, through the bird excrement, we did admittedly have a view. I decided to complain, got to the desk, the queue was huge. Retired to 1983 and wrote an email to the hotel. They never replied. Next day, a little less jet lagged, I waited in another queue and spoke to the manager. He informed me we were in one of the better rooms… incredible. He offered to show me another, I took him up on it, it was exactly the same. I asked who was actually in charge. He told me General Manager would be back on Monday and assured me he would make her aware of my issue. Nobody ever got back to me. So it abundantly clear the management are not interested. It is also clear that using the word “superior“ is wildly incorrect unless we’re comparing the room to the poor guys who live on the street outside. So it’s resulted in guests who are completely unimpressed and somewhat frustrated at having booked something which would be better described as basic or dated. I would not recommend this place at all, if something is wrong then it’s not going to be sorted. In all, huge dissatisfaction. Oh and did I mention the swimming pool was closed..?…
Great stay for our city break in Bangkok. Breakfast was plentiful with a great selection. The hotel is spotlessly clean with friendly staff. Location is excellent for getting around the city easily. One negative is that there are hardly any sunbeds around the pool. It would have been nice to be able to come back to hotel and relax with a drink beside the pool on a lounger after a day of site seeing. There were about 20 beds when there is room for double that! Bit of a shame, but didn’t dampen our stay. Enjoyed the rooftop bar also. I would recommend the hotel starts to think about freshening up the hotel decor as it is starting to get a bit tired now. Overall all a great stay.
Excellent hotel with very good service, very friendly and helpful staff especially the concierge Mr Tono and Tor B Icee, great cleanliness and pleasant ambience. I have asked the concierge at the front desk to arrange a van for our trip to Pattaya and return trip to the airport in Bangkok and they have done an excellent job with a very good deal. The front desk clerks are friendly and helpful and professional and we have a very pleasant stay at the hotel and will definitely stay here again when we come back Thailand.
Check in was straightforward and staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We had complimentary soft drinks on arrival. We used the rooftop bar which was nice situated next to an Indian restaurant. The drinks were a little more expensive but I’d expect that for a rooftop bar. Location is ideal with a short walk down the road to the MRT, sky rail and buses. Breakfast was a little hectic one morning with a swarm of guests however there was a good selection of choices. The choices also changed slightly each day which is nice too. All the cooked food is hot and well presented.
I took a rest for 4 days in Rembrandt hotel, and I really like here. It's good beds so I could sleep well! I had a beautiful days in Rembrandt hotel! Especially Bee, Tor, Tono, Ice are very kind! THANKS SO MUCH:)
We stayed in the residential building block. The rooms are very old, not clean and the service is very poor. The lady at the reception tried to scam us when we asked to book a taxi. The location is the only decent part. There are many other better options in Bangkok
