I stayed 1 week in this hotel, known it is an old one. It was renovate few years ago. The interior you can tell is old style, that has benefit or pretty big size. I like it they use access card to open door and not the old keys. Room is clean and you have everything you need, include a...

Nice hotel, was there before. 10 minutes with tuktuk to Paragon shopping mall and 5 minutes walk to Patpong for the market and the little bars. Nice place to be for watching people with a Shinga 😃👍🏽.

I was lucky to get a good price by booking with Agoda.com (I paid €45 for a room with queen size bed). I needed to spend 1 night in BKK and this hotel was convenience for me. Though the hotel is a bit old, and the internet is a little weak, but I like the location and the Japanese toilette...

Stayed here for 8 nights, end of February to beginning of March. Lovely hotel, room was good, comfortable bed, kettle in room with tea and coffee sachets (two of each, replenished daily). Room spotlessly clean, maid service very efficient, hair dryer in bathroom. Safe and fridge in room at no extra cost. Conference facilities very good, food good, plenty of...

The hotel is correctly described as a 3 star facility. Old and tired with poor quality of lighting in room. Wifi didn't work most of the time. Service was adequate and staff was pleasant enough. The included breakfast caters to a Japanese clientele and doesn't offer much from eggs, chicken sausage, fried toast, rice, broth, pickles some water logged ham,...

Tawana has been my favorite hotel from the time it was under the Ramada umbrella. The hotel is a little old, but location, price, staff, room cannot be beat. However, during this stay I forgot to request a non-smoking room. I asked the Reception to switch, unfortunately the hotel is fully booked. The receptionist said he would call back to...

Hello, My wife and I have had holidays with friends over the years and one of our vacations was staying at the Tawana in Bangkok. This is a really nice hotel with great rooms and amenities. We really liked the location and it was close to entertainment, transport, nightlife and restaurants. There is a good tailor across the road from...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 10 Jan to 13 Jan 17. I visited Bangkok often during the past 3 years and had stayed in different hotels near the Silom and Surawongse areas but this was the first time I had stayed in this hotel. I was quite impressed with the 5-star service I experienced in this...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
