Hotel location is perfect. Just a couple of minute walk from BTS station to the pier where a nice shuttle boat waits for you. We loved the arrival. Room was very comfortable with a great view on the Chaopraya river. The pool looks like an oasis with cool gardens. Breakfast buffet was amazing with great choice, good coffee and good service by Burmese staff. we will come back!
For the price you pay the condition of the hotel was so so… tiles in bathroom were reset poorly, bathroom sink was clogged. Breakfast was a hustle each morning with warmish coffees, limp bacon, empty bread baskets and so forth. Staff it self was nice, but you could get a feeling that most of them aren’t experienced. Apparently the manager nor the owner of the hotel have ability to educate the staff as it is not the labors fault that there is no organization.
Excellent value for money in a wonderful location on chao phraya. We have always stayed at The Chatrium not far from here on the river but can’t justify the prices they are charging now. The public areas in Hotel are nicely presented. Pool is excellent . Terrace restaurant is nice with views to the river. The rooms are spacious and well kept. Limited English channels on the flat screen TV. Only one film channel. Comfortable beds with good quality linen & towels. No room service. Breakfast choice is good however we found on 2 occasions the items such as bacon and eggs are not replenished very quickly. Often there was no bacon at all and the only fried eggs that were out were broken and not at all pleasant. Could do with a little tweak in restaurant for breakfast service. All in all a very pleasant stay and extremely good value for money. Pleasant, efficient and friendly staff. Would certainly return if the prices remain the same.…
I had a river view room, which was great for watching activity on the river and the swimming pool. There is not a lot to do in the area, but the Asiatique market is an easy walk. Also, the hotel provides a free boat shuttle to the sky train system. The room was fine, if a bit dated. The staff was very friendly, but my favorite aspect of this hotel was the robot who delivers items you need to your room. Very fun!!
All in all a nice hotel but cleaning of the rooms and the hotel in general could be better. The hotel and the rooms need a renovation, it looks a bit worn. Order a room with river view. The terrace where you eat breakfast is nice but don’t leave your food unattended because there are a lot of pigeons. We didn’t try the pool but it looks nice. The restaurant is really good if you order a la carte.
Very disappointed with check in. I am a gold member and had to argue for an upgrade . We shouldn't have stayed in the room though because my companion actually took a towel and washed the floor and it came away black. One side lamp didn't work and both were covered in dust. When I held water glasses up to the light they were dirty . The vanity is in the entry with about 4" on each side for your toiletries . The river view was a saving grace however be had planned to stay 5 days but moved after 2.
We have visited this hotel many times before. This time the hitel was such a dissapointment. We called the hotel in advance to ask for pool temperature and we were told it is 27 degrees while in reality it was 23 decrees. Als a lot of renovation going on. For instance Kids club was totally put of use. Also renovation at the entrance and the pool area. Rooms were not clean and also otherwise the hotels requires cleaning. Parties arranged during days so do not expect peace and quite around the pool area - quite the opposite with Chinese out of tune singing. Only positive thing that can be mentioned are the comfortable beds and friendly congierce at the lobby. Very poor experience indeed compared to previous visits years back.
Stayed on the Christmas weekend to catch the fireworks at the Asiatique Mall. Value for money, Clean and Large Rooms with a great view of river. Though breakfast spread is huge hardly much for Indian vegetarians. Please add Paratha or Poori in the morning breakfast. The road leading to the hotel gets busy. Overall nice stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Riverside ramada, couple of minor issues like booked a double room and given a twin(not that big a deal) and also booked to include breakfast but told two days in a row that we didn't have breakfast included in our reservation(cleared up by front desk twice but a little annoying to be asked while already eating) apart from that the breakfast buffet is great, fee shuttle boat to the main jetty for easy access to shops, walking distance to asiatique 👍👍👍
Loved the hotel but not the bedroom. we had a football field size bed which was overkill and inconveniently placed on top of a riser which was intended for 2 queen beds but I think these were 2 full size which since it was built against the bathroom wall on the one side you had to step on it to get into bed on both sides, I only smacked into it once luckily. As you enter the room on the right was the sink area and left was the bathroom with the partition door and window over the tub done in frosted glass so he light spills into the room which disturbs the other person. I sleep a lot less than my husband so there was no where I could go to read or use the computer unless I went out of the room. Staff was great, lobby comfortable w/free refreshments and the building is located on the water. Due to rains there was flooding and the hotel should get a wet vac bcz the people spent so much time trying to sweep the water away instead of using the proper technique to stop it from entering the patio area. Great pool&happy hour, convenient shuttle boat and short walk to the night market&restaurants.…
