An amazing experience at the Shangri-La! Loved the beautiful clean big spacious room, the pool was awesome with an even better view of the river. Food & drinks were very tasty in the restaurants of the hotel. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming, friendly, and professional. I must say the singer, Jean, in the ballroom in the lobby/bar has a fantastic voice, you need to keep her!!! She’s very talented, she even sang a song for us and her voice is beautiful! Our family of 4 recently stayed at the Shangri-La Riverside in Bangkok. We booked two interconnecting rooms. We were very happy with our stay at the Shangri-La, the catering staff took exceptional care of our family's needs with multiple allergies, and because of this reason we were able to really relax and enjoy what Bangkok and the hotel had to offer. Special mention to Monravee, Nate, Doi, Don, SamSok and KittyPat. Many many thanks for your time and care in looking after the two teenagers with peanut and multiple other allergies. We would definitely chose the Shangri-La as our hotel of choice for our next trip. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. We had river views from both rooms. We enjoyed the international breakfast food buffet each day and the location is great, we enjoyed relaxing by the main pool and watching the world go by on the river. All the staff were friendly and the hotel was always cleaned. There were a few events during our stay and we were provided with advance notice of cafe and pool closures. My only comment for improvement is the check in process and pre-authorization. We were incorrectly charged multiple times - these charges were reversed and fixed when I raised with the front desk staff. Thank you.

We stayed in a Horizon Club room and the value for money was outstanding. We had full use of the lounge which was wonderful and very relaxing. We asked the staff if we could have a shower in the Health Club as we left for the airport late and it wasn't a problem at all. The staff were wonderful in every way. The only issue my husband and I found was at breakfast. We were completely ignored by all staff and had to go and ask for coffee/cutlery etc. It was abundantly clear that other, more important/regular, guests were getting preferential treatment, including being given a menu for eggs/fried breakfast etc. It was incredibly disappointing given I had saved hard to have this hotel as part of this trip but felt very out of place as a result. However, we were here over Chinese NY by coincidence and the hotel put on an amazing show and it was great to be part of.

Having not been for 5 yrs I was a little worried BUT no need !!!! This place is truly worth every pound/dollar/baht. Every single member of staff go out of their way to help and nothing is too much trouble. As we spent a full day and half by the pool, full marks to Zane and Sapp who were outstanding. I’m not leaving it another 5 yrs that’s for sure !!!!!

This was one of the many visits to Shangri-La Bangkok Hotel… Unfortunately our recent experience was full of disappointments… Quality of the food & beverage department has detoriated… The respond time to our email requests has increased considerably… Check in and check out times has increased a lot… Even our complaint that our credit card deposit we gave during check in, has not been returned even after 10 days of our check out from the hotel… The hotel is not even replying to our request for this deposit return, despite 3 days have passed from our request…

We stayed here the last week of December and it was amazing. Get a room with the river view. The fireworks from the balcony were spectacular. The pool was great especially kids and it had 2 lifeguards in duty. The Next restaurant was very good. Room service was great. I would stay here again.

This is a sparkling jewel on the river in a great location. Our room was overlooking the river from two vantage points and was elegantly appointed. Service was very good, as was the restaurant outside next to the river. I happily recommend this hotel.

The hotel is much bigger than I realized. After 3 days, I still didn't have time to explore the entire hotel. Two riverside pool which are very well maintained. I booked a Horizon Club room and it was most certainly worth the extra. On arrival at the hotel I was immediately taken up to the Horizon Club for a private check in. The service in the lounge was exceptional. The staff arranged a beautiful room for me with spectacular views. The location of the hotel is ideal and there is a water taxi which takes you across the river, every hour. On the Saturday night we were there, the hotel had arranged a introduction to street food. With fun games for the children and live music. This event was well organized and a fun way to experience street food without leaving the hotel. The Spa was under renervation with treatments being done on the 7th floor so I did not try the Spa. The Horizon Club arranged a river cruise which was exceptional and gave us a great opportunity to do a bit of sightseeing and explore the city. I highly recommend this hotel and will be using it again on my next trip to Bangkok.

Excellent service from the moment you arrive, with your car door being opened and luggage taken to your room. I had a particularly funny experience when the staff member who brought the suitcase to my room proceeded to sing 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' (as I had arrived on Christmas Day). Really made me laugh after a very long journey to Bangkok! Room was a good standard and was cleaned immaculately everyday, and I had a lovely view of the river. Breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choice. Salathip is a great choice for riverside dinner- delicious food and great service. Pool area was nice and staff very attentive. I really liked the location of the hotel as it was very near Sathorn Pier, which is great for taking the ferry boat to all the best sightseeing locations. The hotel also has a free ferry boat over to Iconsiam. The best thing about the Shangri-La is the staff, all so kind and helpful. A really beautiful and relaxing place to stay in busy Bangkok.
