I don't honestly remember a ton about this place, it was about a year ago, sorry! I do remember that it was our first time in Thailand, (I have done quite a bit of extensive travel though) - it wasn't the nicest, and it wasn't bad either. We booked through a tour group for my husband and I, so I...

The rooms are ok. They are simple but clean and have the normal ammenities. However the staff are poor I found. On my final day I asked for a taxi to the airport. They told me it was 450bt for a meter taxi and 800b for a hotel taxi. I asked them could they order me a meter taxi which...

We had a big room which was clean. Its a big hotel close to the train station. It is located about 15-20 minutes by TukTuk drive to the main hotspots of Bangkok. Staff was not really friendly, breakfast was good.

We only stayed in this hotel for a couple of days. The hotel in itself was very nice and the rooms very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast which was buffet. The only thing we were unhappy about was how unfriendly the staff could be to us sometimes. When we had just arrived at 10 am after an overnight flight they...

Stayed here for one night at the start of a longer tour. My first experience of Thailand and it was a good one. Rooms fine, Breakfast was very good. Located at the subway and main station, ideal for getting around the city. Only issue was the sound of a loudspeaker at the spa next door making announcements all afternoon.

When I say this I mean it! Right outside the main Train station which also has the trains going to popular places such as Chiang Mai and Surat Thani. Plenty of street foods, Shops and Markets nearby including a 7/11 on the same road a couple minutes down. This location isn't full of tourists so you get a feel of...

I have stayed several times in this hotel. The last time was a few years ago. If you are travelling by train, the location of the hotel is very very good. It is on the same street as Hua Lampong Trainstation (Bangkok's main trainstation). The food is good, the rooms clean.

My three friends and I visited the hotel on two different occasions throughout our stay in Bangkok through an organised tour with G Adventures! The hotel in general is slightly run down and could do with a makeover. We were greeted by reception staff who were pleasant enough but could do with better people skills! The rooms were slightly cramped...

Started a G Adventures tour from this hotel and it was great. Helpful staff during the day. The night staff let it down a bit as it was a struggle to get a beer from the bar but other than that great. Rooms slightly dated but amazing views over Bangkok. Really simple to get to straight on the train from...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
