Booking - smooth and simple. Booked online and sent an email to confirm reservation and payment. All correspondence leading up to arrival was responded to promptly. We received a credit upon check-in which was a nice and welcomed surprise. Location - good and bad. Good because the hotel is located literally 2 mins from the Skytrain. Bad because there are...

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights & enjoyed our stay here. Room was spacious & bed was comfortable. Included breakfast had quite a good variety. The best part of this hotel is its proximatey to the skytrain. We used the sky train to get all around the city. It is also about a 15 minute walk to the...

The hotel itself is quite a modern one and lies on a very busy road in Bangkok but we were not affected by the noise, although we were on the 27 floor. Location wise, I think most people book this hotel because it’s near to the BTS station which is just a stone’s throw away. Close by are also 7-eleven...

Everything was great! Can't fault this motel. Right next to BTS, Walking distance to restaurants, shops and Sathorn Pier. Cheap taxis to larger shopping centres. Staff were very helpful and truly lovely, no question too small. Had a couple spa package on the 10th floor, very affordable and lovely. Heated pool awesome after a hard day shopping or sightseeing. Just...

Bed was comfortable and good. Toilet and bathroom are separated. It was near station, we used subway for traffic jam time. It is 40 minutes by subway from Suvarnabhumi Airport. Breakfast is fine. Club benefits in the Executive Room were satisfactory. The 5th floor spa in the hotel was satisfactory. But i often see dust.....

Mode Sathorn was a great way to start our trip in Thailand. The room was modern and I LOVED the soaking tub after our long flight. We were on the 29th floor and the views were amazing. The comfortable beds and blackout curtains made for a wonderful nights sleep. The breakfast spread was great and the pool area was beautiful....

Stayed for three nights at the start of our trip to Thailand. The hotel was recommended to us by our TA who had stayed here before. Lovely room and the biggest bathroom I have ever seen both with city views however basic toiletries (such as soap and toilet paper) were in short supply. Lighting was weird but we managed. The...

Loved the location, skytrain station was only a couple of minutes walk away. The view from the room was great. Full size window in bathroom was fantastic. It has a rooftop bar with more great views of the city. We were up there one night and watched the storm come in.(It was the wet season)

This Hotel was quirky and modern, with a really great location right next to the Sky train and therefore the river. Having never stayed in Bangkok before, we were lucky to land here, as within few metres we could access the train and then hop onto the free / very cheap transport on the river. What a great location. The...

The hotel is well located, with the grand palace and temples about 15 minutes in a taxi. The staff are pleasant and for 3,100 bhat (around £75) we had an executive room which was spacious, with a lovely bathroom and separate toilet. There's a walk in closet and TV with 4 sports channels. The pool on the 11th floor is...

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
