Great hotel for the money. I didn't get a chance to dip in the pool or eat at any of the hotel restaurants but I did use the gym, which is small. We walked to the Skytrain station most of the time and on the way there's a great spa that offers very good massages for 500-600 baht. It's nicer...

Great value hotel - nice big rooms, decorated to a high standard. Feels like a much more expensive hotel than it was. Rooftop pool was excellent also with great city views and very relaxing.

After two days searching the internet, luckily came across reviews on the Davis Hotel, Bangkok. We found this hotel to be an excellent choice. We have no complaints about the hotel whatsoever. The staff were extremely courteous all the time and after travelling for 17 hours from home our checkin was efficient. We were in the Corner Wing and the...

I stayed for two nights at the Davis in one of the standard rooms of the main hotel building. The room was large, clean and well appointed. A comparable room in the US would easily cost twice as much per night. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Phrom Phong BTS station- so that might...

This hotel is excellent, nice clean modern rooms. The room was gorgeous, thoughtful and complete. I stayed in a deluxe room on the 9th floor, main wing. It was near the gym which was adequate and the pool area which was nice and clean. The only thing about the hotel, is that its location which is far from the Sky...

what a dreadful place. It is like a bad Costa Brava tourist factory. the rooms are nice, average. we had a bad experience with one room, a urine like stench came out the aircon, but hell, that can happen... we complained, got a spraycan to attack the smell which didn't work, then a giant fuss was made to move us...

We stayed here many times over a period of 6 months while in Thailand in late 2004. The hotel was fantastic - great service, beautiful clean rooms, restaurant with decent food. My only tip is to take a business card whenever you go out somewhere and plan on getting a taxi/tuk tuk back home cos NOBODY seemed to know where...

We were delighted with the Davis in Bangkok. My fiancee and I travelled with another couple, so we booked 2 doubles in all, via asiarooms.com, and paid £53 per room per night. Upon arrival (late Feb, 07), we were immediately upgraded to a 2 bedroom executive suite. We were astonished by this elaborate room... it had 2 bedrooms either side...

The Davis is a incorrect interpretation of a designer hotel. It leads me to believe there was a money person with no asthetic sense who was hard to work with, hired as inexpensively as he could and walked into the meetings with pictures of the W and said, "give me this!" Beyond that, it's in a good location and taking...

My wife and I stayed at the Davis from April 13-16. We booked on the hotel website and payed 3000 baht for a corner wing room. 95 USD. As with other traveler reviews, I agree that the hotel represents good value for money. The rooms are chic. The breakfast is fine - fresh fruit, pastries, and cooked breakfast items are...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
