Booked the Davis for 5 nights mostly based on location and star rating. It was an excellent value and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Bangkok. The rooms are large and very well appointed. The breakfast buffet was superb with very...More
We loved our one night stay at the Davis Bangkok. We booked a studio room, which was spacious, clean and esthetically pleasing. The complementary welcome drink, slippers & housecoat, fruit plate and breakfast were all very nice touches. The breakfast buffet was incredible!
We stayed at the Davis for 3 nights, just before christmas. Like other reviewers, we did not know about the annex and ended up there. It's right next to the main hotel, but inconvenient for the pool, our reception seemed 'second rate' and they had...More
Make sure you get a room in the Main building and not in the Corner Wing as the views from the corner rooms are mainly onto building sites. The rooms in the main building are much better and the swimming pool is on the roof....More
Just returned from a trip to the Davis in BKK.
In my opinion this Hotel is clearly overrated. Rooms are nice and big, but apart from the bad location the Hotel has several shortcomings*
- Check In, slow and difficult although everything was prepaid.
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's
hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
