I got off the bus at 6am after a 17 hour travel day and basically no sleep for the past 3 days. I was exhausted and told the tuk tuk driver to take me somewhere close to ko san that wasn't expensive. I ended up here. One big dirty bed that was made of rocks and the room was filthy....

As what I usually heard ans said... "You pay what you get" So.. this guesthouse is good for the location cuz it's very close to Khaosan road. For the cheapest room is very small and not somuch clean But, if you up grade for the Air-con room, i'd agree with this. So, it's better to stay for aircon room. The...

The hostle really is in a good location and the staff are friendly and helpful. The main problem is the price. If it cost 400 baht then it would be a decent place to say. But for 800 it isn't good enough when there is so much more available at that price.

Only 10 mins from Khao San Road opposite a beautiful temple so location is ideal. Unfortunately room was very bare, with hard beds and window facing a wall. Considering what we paid to rent charging for wifi was unnecessary. Would not stay again, there are cheaper and better quality hostels/BBs nearby.

Delightful owner who speaks really good English as she lived and worked there. The rooms are fine, nothing special, basic. Hard bed but clean bathroom. Had a comfortable nights sleep and it's a quiet location as its set back from the street. Good location (10 mins to the main streets). You have to pay for wifi (50 Baht) and for...

So we were stupid and got sucked into letting the woman in the travel shop who sorted our tickets to Chiang Mai also sort our accommodation. We probably overpaid for a cramped, smelly room, it didn't feel clean and the smell coming in through the door from outside was of sewage. We had paid for 2 nights but only stayed...

Nothing special but cheap and cheerful. Rooms are clean enough and staff were pleasant. Location is good and staff were helpful when organising transport to airport. No tvs and have to pay for wi-fi. Good location

Nice location and surprisingly quiet room. The en suite bathroom was a pretty good size for the standard and water pressure was good. However, the bed is by far the hardest bed I have ever slept in, making for a very uncomfortable and unrestful night's sleep. The "style" of the room in general was quite sad with bare walls and...

Uncomfortable bed. Private en-suite bathroom is a nice detail. Haven't stayed at other hostels on Bangkok yet, but if this is the standard... Yikes. Unfriendly to say the least, though the woman who checked me in DID carry one of my small plastic bags for me to my room. If you're here just for sleeping/storage, OK, but you won't be...

Restaurant on fifth floor closed in darkness on a Saturday night. Couldn't get a smile or greeting from the staff. no TV as advertised. Have to pay for wifi. Its a good location but other guest houses in the area have much better to offer.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
