5 minutes walk from Phrom Phong BTS station on the BTS Bearing Line so good access to the centre. It is situated on a main road, Sukhumvit in a very 'european' part of the city centre. The road it is upon is very busy and noisy although this area is free of the 'riots' (disturbances) that you hear about on...

Positives: Fantastic location - easy walking to Emporium Mall, Terminal 21 and the BTS station Fairly clean Let me check in when I arrived at 7am with no additional cost which was a real plus Real coffee in restaurant though I never tried it Negatives: The staff that I met spoke no English and could be a bit rude sometimes...

The common area is a bare room with some toys for the owner's toddler. You cam sit on the cafe but are not allowed to charge your laptop downstairs their because it "affects their kitchen"! You can only use the plugs in your dorm room! The staff hardly speak any English!

This was my last night in Bangkok and needed a quick place to stay before flying out. They were very nice staff as I entered through the first floor. Also a restaurant. I shared a room with 3 others. Has a young and hip feel to the place. Yolo right. Lockers in the room so bring a lock. A/C in...

This hostel has a perfect location near BTS station Phrom Phong. The food is good and affordable. Good coffee and smoothies. Not big, so very personal approach. Owners are friendly and can inform you well about Bangkok and around.

I traveled with a friend of mine and we were the first time in Bangkok. With the direction hints on the booking confirmation the hostel is easy to find. The staff is very friendly but some of them speak very few English. Yolo's design all in all is very modern, comfortable, sometimes exceptional. We were sleeping in a clean and...

Living an hour south of Bangkok, I have made more weekend trips to BKK than I can count and tried a decent number of hostels. I have to say, 1yolo is EASILY the best. Why? The service! I've seriously never experienced anything like it! Pu, the owner, is one of the friendliest and most accommodating people ever. She is always...

The location of the hostel is very good, 2 minutes from a skytrain station by foot. The restaurant is nice and serves good food. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there are a lot of things they could improve. Common area is not really finished and it doesnt look comfortable. Room very small, no window, you can hear when...

The convenience of this hidden gem is underated, it is within walking distance to Phrom Phong BTS and has a 7-11 closeby as well. Yes, it is right beside a typically busy Bangkok road, but the noise from the traffic wasnt an issue at all. My sleep wasnt affected. From the other point of view, you can grab a taxi...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

“It appears that many of the rooms (including the 2 private rooms) have windows facing the main street. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you have trouble sleeping due to the high volume of noise from outside. The private room on top floor might be slightly larger than the one on the floor below. However, if sharing, be warned that the toilet doesn't have a door.”

“When I checked in around 3 PM on a Wed, there was no issues with choosing my bed. There was still good choices for a bed. If you didn't bring ear plugs, choose a bed away from the street,”
