I booked this hotel based on reviews I read on TripAdvisor and I was disappointed. First time it happened to me, next time I'll be more careful when reading reviews. The hotel is very well located, near Khaosan, and at a walking distance to the Grand Palace. The hotel amenities are fine, the bed also, so what's the problem you're...

Hotel location is great, very close to Khaosan road. Hotel is refurbished, rooms are good size and very clean. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping places nearby. We have tried in house restaurant which is just average. Taxi service that hotel provided is fast and very reasonable priced. Only downside is hotel is really loudy at night.

My husband and I arrived at the Baan Chart after a 20 hour trip from Canada to Bangkok and were greeted with a cold towel and beverage. Staff were friendly and hotel was set a bit far back from the road giving some barrier from the street noise. The room was clean and steps from the beautiful roof top pool...

It is a good location in Khaosan but if you want to travel to Sukhumvit, Silom, there is no BTS nearby. You have to get a taxi which is available in front of the hotel. There are a few guys in front of the hotel main road which annoy us by keep offering us the floating market package and lied to...

Nice little hotel near Khao San Road. Small but nice and clean rooms. Many 7/11 within walking distance as well as a Starbucks and Burger King. Stayed 2 nights upon arrival in Bangkok and were satisfied enough to book our last night there before leaving Thailand

Hotel is very near the famous khaosan road but not directly it it so noise is minimal. Location is very convenient, everything is there when you get down the hotel from cabs, money changer, street foods, massage areas, etc. It's also near the police station so it feels more safe. Rooms are very nice and clean! Loved their bathroom and...

Baan Chart has a really good location, you can visit all the temples on foot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the the design and cleanliness of the hotel! The bed was very comfortable. I also enjoyed the pool in the evening although it was really small. It was my first stay in Bangkok and...

We wanted something close to bars and restaurants and that's what we got. However, rooms are small (albeit clean), and it's quite loud. The street and bar noise can be a bit much. We brought earplugs and a sound machine, which unfortunately fried out. No taxi driver knew where this hotel was. We had to tell them "Starbucks, burger king,...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
