Didn't stay here, but ate here twice. The location next to the Reclining Buddha would be an excellent place to stay. Amazing food and great prices to boot. Around 80 Baht for a plate of Pad Thai. My wife and I tried 4 different types of plates and each were amazing. Worth a trip if you're in the area.

This hotel is conveniently located next to Wat Pho and the Royal Palace. There are many decent restaurant options nearby. The restaurant that belongs to the hotel has decent breakfast and brilliant lunch options. The room was very comfortable and the price/quality was great.

On a day visit to Bangkok landed up here. Very close to grand palace. Very quaint l. Had breakfast. Phad Thai shrimp and the Thai tea.. the Phad Thai was really flavoursome..freshly made. Hot. I just like spicy food.. so added the chilli..extra. even otherwise it was great. Must visit.

The stay was very nice - rooms were clean and everything we needed was there. The hotel is situated next to Wat Pho, which is quite a convenient location for visiting several places. The hotel has a cafe-restaurant, but we didn't enjoy food there as much as we'd like to. Great for tea and coffee though. Nice atmosphere and friendly...

Lovely stylish little restaurant close to Wat Po and the Grand Palace. Tasty food, fast service probably as menu choice is less than some places but what's on is very good, friendly staff at very good value for Bangkok. Thoroughly recommend and wish we had found earlier in the trip!

We wanted a no fuss location within walking distance to the Royal Palace and Wat Pho. The hotel was super clean, and each room had its own air conditioner and private bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful in getting you wherever you wanna go. The restaurant right on the corner was to die for, best pad thai ever!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Royal Tha Tien Village. The location was perfect for seeing the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. In fact, Wat Pho was just across the street. My room was comfortable and very spacious. There was a bench to put my luggage on and my balcony overlooked Wat Pho. There are restaurants close by but...

The hotel is on a working area of Bangkok. You won't find clubs or a massive selection of restaurants nearby, and you do get a bit of traffic noise and early morning shop-related sounds. however, you get a very individual hotel, within 5 minutes' walk of Wat Pho, with staff that go out of their way to help you, a...

I chose this hotel mainly for the location: I had one evening and the next day in Bangkok, with a flight departing in the evening. It's close to the big sights -- the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, markets, the Chaophraya River (and river transportation). The price was exceptional as well. Thatien boat pier is a 5-6 minute away. Wat Pho...

I highly recommend this guesthouse especially if it is your first visit to Bangkok. All major sites as well as markets and good restaurants are in walking distance. The hotel staff is very helpful and speaks good English. The room and bathroom were in great condition and well cleaned. They also have a good restaurant downstairs serving local specialities as...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
