As quoted by many travelers the place needs a total refurb , but a quiet place to stay and convenient, security also good run by two sisters who manage including cleaning the whole place 😁 WiFi can also be hit and miss

After spending a night on Khaosan road, where music blusts till 5am, we needed to find a quite and peacefull place to stay for the rest of the days in Bangkok. We found this hotel and were very happy to stay for the remaining 3 nights. The sleep is great, because its very quite at night. The staff was extremely...

We stayed here for one night after moving from a noisy guesthouse around the corner. We had a double room with AC and ensuite for 1200 B for one night. We stayed in Room 406 which is right at the back of the guesthouse. The room was very quiet. The bed was enormous and the sheets etc were clean. The...

I have stayed here now for over 14 years, its in a great location near to khao San road, and the river ferry. The rooms are large and have a tv and fridge hot water and air con , great large bed and pillows :-) but the best thing is the quietness at night, also it's a very safe hotel...

We learned at the taxi station it's best to have the address of any place you want to go printed out in Thai language, the translated English version is not always helpful to the locals. As we arrived quite early in the morning, Sandy was very kind to allow us 9am check-in. Her reply has always been prompt since my...

Having read the previous reviews before travelling we decided to book this hotel for our latest trip.On arrival I thought that perhaps I had got a different hotel. On arrival the two old ladies in reception tried to charge us for the room when we had already paid in advance by credit card with Agoda Rooms and it took a bit...

Our rom no. 302 was very dark with poor old furniture and dust everywhere. Bed was clean but it is Thai standard. Bathroom looked very old and towels was gray not white with some spots. Wi-fi is not free, but you can buy some ticket for the acces, which is funny, because everywhere around are restaurants and pubs with free...

For the last umpteen years – how many we cannot remember – we are faithful repeaters at the Phra Arthit Mansion. We only strayed elsewhere once and regretted it deeply! The rooms are large, the aircon, the TV, the fridge, the phone always work and recently they also have wifi. The sheets and towels are changed daily, although some have...

There are many places to eat close by, area is safe, we walked around at midnight after we checked in and found many people out and about. Shopping street - Khao San Road is a couple of...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
