This was my first hotel in Thailand going into a 5 week trip. I picked it for its apparent charm and it didn't disappoint. This is a small and unique hotel, far from the cookie cutter giant hotels. This means they also have some of the friendliest and best service. And let me give kudos to the breakfast, best I've...

My wife and I stayed at the Inn three nights during our recent vacation in Thailand. In all we were in southeast Asia for six weeks and stayed in a dozen of hotels of varying shapes and sizes. The Inn was one of our best experiences! We had booked the Inn after discovering it on the web . It looked...

My wife and I stayed for a night here on our way to the islands. We couldn't have asked for a better stay in Bangkok and though we did get our share of a Bangkok scam or two, our experience with Jason and his team was exceptional. Great care has been put into creating this space and no expense is...

Coffees, local beer, drinks, and snacks. Toast with homemade Kaya is great. No matter coming here for a nice stay which you will feel like taking...

I am speechless. It was a perfect stay, and Jason with the rest of the employees went out of their way to help us with the issues that we were having after the airline lost our luggage. Did I mention, how perfect the breakfast wast?

From the moment we arrived at the Old Capital Bike Inn we knew we'd made a good choice. Really friendly welcome with plenty of good suggestions for dining/sightseeing. We walked just up the road to Thipsamai, famed for its Pad Thai for a late night snack before heading back for a good sleep on the comfortable bed. Our loft suite...

Dear Jane and Peter, Again, thank you for giving a chance to host you. It is wonderful to read how much you enjoyed our room's decor and breakfast, as well as the old town area's vibes around the hotel. I'm sure the places you visited and mentioned here will be of great advice to future guests staying at our hotel....

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
