We've stayed here now a couple of times, the highlight has to be the restaurant which is open 24 hours, excellent food! The rooms are good, got everything you need, it has a swimming pool and is conveniently located near the train line. Amazing value, we'll be back!

I looooove this hotel. Since the first time I stayed here, I always come back to stay. It is reasonably priced and the location is excellent. There is a 7-11 nearby and a lot of good restaurants nearby. Malai restaurant at the hotel is open 24 hours and serves delicious food. The pool and the sunning area is lovely. Altogether...

Great new mattresses in the renovated rooms. Best sleep in Thailand so far. The actual decor remains slightly off but it is reasonably clean & decent value, so I can put up with the weird painting in the hallways Pool is refreshing Breakfast with the discount is filling (rice porridge or eggs, with coffee & fruit) ** The internet remains...

Have been to Bangkok several times and always stay here. It's actually a bit of a Bangkok institution....everyone knows the hotel. True it is no Four Seasons, but it offers affordable rooms in a good area close to Lumpini Park. The rooms are clean and well serviced. Staff in reception are friendly and helpful. Nice pool and also a good...

Since I stayed at the Malaysia they have restored. Still the same good hotel with all the facilities I had use for. Basic but nice rooms. Nice outdoor swimmingpool. Restaurant 24 hours. Good massage. Close to everything. MRT is walking distance. Nice and friendly staff. Next time in Bangkok it will be the Malaysia.

I stayed 19-25 Feb 2017. They have painted the place, and redone the rooms. I was happy. It is located near the underground train system. I love the food here many locals eat here at night. I recommend it

The venerable Malaysia Hotel recently changed hands and there have been welcome changes like a remodeled carpark and a colourful facade that gives the place a 21st century appearance. Inevitably, improvements come at a cost. Rooms are now more expensive and the price of every item in the restaurant menu has been increased! Traditionally, a significant proportion of the Malaysia...

I am staying at Malaysia hotel, and they give you free wifi only for 1 device. I just find is a bit surprising, especially in 21 century. Plus they do not state that on their website, they just say you get free wifi, but there is note, it's only for 1 device. I believe that most people will have a...

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
