I stayed in a Mu Dan suite. It was beautiful. I enjoyed the stand alone bath and the quality of the toiletries was good. The free mini bar was great to come back to after a busy day exploring Bangkok. The staff were very polite and helpful. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and there was...

Right in the heart of chinatown and easy to find. Stayed here as a family 1 double one twin. Rooms are good value for money , clean and tidy with that chinatown boutique feel. Staff were friendly and helpful nice bar in front of hotel and all the nightlife of chinatown on the doorstep. Great would stay again

Stayed 3 nights. I really just wanted peace, quiet and sleep for these 3 nights and not to go far. From the moment I set foot inside I felt like it was the perfect oasis away from Chinatown. The rooms were clean and had what I would call the perfect amount of "funky". Massive bed. Good wifi in the room,...

Pros: Shanghai Terrace is Fun and Modern Lounge in the middle of the the Night Food Market. Food is unique and a nice option when night market shuts service. Cons: Slow Service and an expected language barrier. -I have not stayed at the hotel, but and eager to check it out.

I and my family only spent one night at this hotel, but I left definitely wanting more, and the most outstanding thing about it was the truly gorgeous design that was so complete in every detail that it felt like you were living in a film set. For such a lovely hotel it is very reasonably priced, and as it...

Perfect facilities and great, friendly staff. Do not hesitate to upgrade for more expensive rooms. Twice more expensive and ten times more cosy. If you want to feel old times climate choose it. I use this place for over ten years during my every visit to Bangkok

A very nice facility with helpful staff. Great location in Chinatown. Some of the better food we had was in this restaurant. Fun little bar where you can have a drink and watch the Chinatown activity. Even has live music. The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. No complaints.

We stayed in a Ying Hua Deluxe room (on the second floor). The hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable, breakfast was good and the hotel is located on the main Chinatown strip. Can't attest to the butler service or the massages--we put the 'do not disturb' sign on our door. Overall we loved it! Only drawback was the transfer from...

Staying in Chinatown / Yaowarat

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown / Yaowarat
Better known as 'Yaowarat' among locals, Chinatown is Bangkok's bustling district that never sleeps. During the day, the main street and its small alleyways are filled with a vibrant mix of colours, scents and flavours coming from the roadside restaurants and all-day markets. The real action, however, happens after sunset. Surrounded by neon lights, Thais and tourists alike flock here around dinnertime to feast on some of the best street food in town. Escape the chaos by venturing a little further from the main road and discover hidden shrines, friendly locals and daily life in its purest form.
