Our family can't rate this hotel highly enough. So accommodating, family freiendly and safe for children. Fantastic service and a unique, comfortable, relaxing experience. A real gem and a great base to discover the rest of Bangkok.

This hotel is so beautifully decorated in every detail. I visited it twice over march and April with family and loved both rooms. Only minus is that kitchen closes at 840 and so do cocktails... on few occasions we were too late (9pm) to order anything which was disappointing. But otherwise this place offers calm and refined environment, fab breakfast,...

A lovely place, very quiet in an area very nice (klong, flower market). More expensive than others but really the best! The big buddha temple just behind the hotel is beautiful and less touristic than Wat Pho, we prefered this one.

I would really recommend this hotel. Quirky with lovely features and decor. We felt at home straight away! The staff were all very friendly and wanted to do everything they could to help. The breakfast is lovely and cooked to order. The Phranakorn is about 5 mins tuk tuk ride to Khao San Road (approx 60-100THB) and China Town is...

This boutique hotel was a perfect base for our 2 night stay. We arrived very late after 1am on our first night flying 30+ hours from USA. Hotel arranged private pick up for us and so thankful they did after the long trip. We were worried about noise but it was very quiet. I'm a light sleeper so this is...

Bangkok is crazy and this little place helps you step back in time and appreciate a slower life. The hotel has a throw back theme. The lobby is open air, lots of tables for dinning (they also have a restaurant and cafe). Across from the tables is a whole area of floor tables and a kids area in the corner....

I wasn't going to write a TripAdvisor review since I checked out early but since the hotel sent me two different review requests from 2 different platforms, I am filling them both out. Booked because of reviews and place has tons of character, super cute. Definitely off the beaten path. It warmed my heart that they even had a welcome...

Cosy and quiet, lovely people, very child-friendly and helpful staff. An almost unreal haven of peace in the middle of a megalopolis - and the ideal place to cope with your jetlag (and that of your 3-year-old...) and to make initial contact with Thai culture. They serve great breakfast too.

Phranakorn-Nornlen Hotel is the kind of place where you feel comfortable and at home as soon as you walk in. The hotel is clean, well-cared for, and has the most unique decor I've ever seen. Very welcoming, very artistic and very creative! The vibe is very laid back and welcoming. You'll be shown around and told where to find coffee,...

We found this hotel through tripadvisor. Friendly staff. Rooms were nicely decorated. Very near to Palace and other sightseeing places. Restaurant serves good Thai food though we didn't like the taste of hot chocolate and tea.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
