We stayed 4 nights in January 2017 and enjoyed our time here. Rooms and shared spaces are full of color and arts and crafts. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. Right near the pier/express ferry so it is easy to get to the old city sites and Chinatown. In walking distance to an interesting local water market and plant...

Breakfast was diverse but very good (with options ranging from fresh fruit to curry). Rooms were clean, colourful, and full of light. In a great area, but it's a jaunt to the metro and/or other areas (besides taking the river boat at Thewet). Friendly staff, cooking, soap making, and other classes offered. Highly recommended.

A lot of charm and authenticity in this place. I would definitely stay there again if I come back to Bangkok. The staff is lovely. The atmosphere is full of serenity. The breakfast was absolutely amazing.

This place was recommended to us by our niece. We are in our 60's. She , in her twenties loved it and so did we...all different ages there. Warm and very helpful staff. Very close to the Grand Palace and Wat Phraw Kaew...and other old city attractions. Just walk a few blocks, hop on a river bus (which is the...

Beautiful and calm place in the middle of Bangkok. Great and very personal decorated rooms, amazing breakfast and very friendly staff. Close to everything in Bangkok but placed in a local-feel hood. Absolutely recommendable.

A quiet place that has been decorated expertly with much love. Breakfast is a real treat, the staff friendly and helpful. Children can play in a corner on the cool patio. Staying here feelsl like living inside a Wes Anderson film.

A great place to stay with children. Really nice rooms and there is a quite large lobby/restaurant area with lots to look at and even a small area with toys. I especially loved the dining area, where we could sit on matresses on the floor right next to the 'play area'. This made the meals a lot more relaxed. The...

Very cute, very clean and staff were super helpful. It is the most charming place to stay. We used the airport transfer which also worked well. The restaurant food was good (not fantastic). But nice touches like iced tea available and fruit.

Wonderful. My only complaint is the location. It isn't walking distance to any of the top sites of Bangkok and taxis had a great deal of trouble finding the hotel, even with the written instructions. The place itself is amazing with wonderful breakfast and excellent, helpful staff.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
