We arrived here after a long long travel day and just didn't bother going to somewhere else. We just needed a bed asap. First thing the lady said to us was we had booked for the day before making it seem like there was no rooms. So we showed her our reservation with the correct date. She then gave us...

We were booked in to stay here for 3 nights, recommended to us by a travel agent. The leaflet looked pretty good and we thought it was a bargain at about £60 for 3 nights. The night before we looked at reviews from trip advisor and instantly felt worried...This was the only hotel where we were not allowed to check...

Please please do not stay here... we saw a rat run across our path in reception on the way to our room, cockroaches on our bed, there is not even enough space in the bathroom to even sit on the toilet! No bedding. No toilet paper. And the service I was provided with was utterly disgusting. I was basically being...

Me and my boyfriend stayed here 4 nights. The staff are terrible and not helpful at all. We didnt get any blankets to sleep with, luckily I brought one of my own. 2 nights here is okey if you get wasted and sleep anyways and stay out all day. It was near khao san road, and that was the best...

You can easily find something much better for the same price or cheaper. We couldn't move in the tiny and filthy room, there is only space for the toilet in the bathroom. The worst part of all of this is to deal with the unprofessional staff who have not idea how to run a place like this. The old woman...

Very low price basic rooms with simple ensuite, aircon and tv. Right in the heart of Khao San Rd area. Great base for exploring the city for the budget conscious. Quieter at the end of the lane wih no passing traffic but many passing by on foot.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
