If you are looking at this Inn, do not go in. The staff are sooo rude and unhelpful, and there are so many more nicer places on this street. The rooms are disgusting and smell terrible, don't think they ever get cleaned. Honestly I feel like the owner just keeps this for the lols

We had the worst night possible in there! We booked the hotel online and had pretty good pics at a good price. We arrived really late due to our flight and got there to be received by an extremely unprofessional and unfriendly staff. It was already pretty dodgy just at the reception but we kept going...only to arrive to our...

Don't stay here. The staff is so extremely rude, (except the woman who serves breakfast, she was nice). They don't look at you when you talk to them, they don't answer. I don't know what's wrong with them. The rooms is actually not that bad. Standard rooms, okey for the price. But overall the staff is so rude that it's...

Not what you see on booking at all. The rooms are jail cells in terms of size, comfort and cleanliness. The tiny window is only good to let the noise in. Everything is old and dirty, from floor and bathroom to towels, ripped and stained. The walls are so thin you can hear everything on the whole floor. You might...

This place was one of the worst places I've stayed in (and one of the more expensive ones), and I've been travelling Asia for 3 months. First of all, most of the staff were rude and grumpy, and I got yelled at by one of the maids consistently for no apparent reason. Secondly, it was generally a very dirty place,...

Me and my boyfriend booked a night here for our last day in Thailand before going home after a month. Thankfully we only booked the hotel to keep our bags in ect whilst we went out for the day as our flight was at 2am the morning. If I had been staying overnight I would have gone straight back to...

For my entire life I never wanted to write a review in agoda or tripadvisor but this hotel deserve what they had done to me and my family . Reception lady was very rude (can't remember the name but she was the one with full make up and no SMILE on her face) , she was not answering my questions...

We spent our very last night of 3 months travelling at the Sawasdee Smile Inn. First of all i have no idea why its called the smile inn, the lady at the front counter didnt even look up at me let alone smile. The double room with air conditioning we booked was like a prison cell. The bed was barely...

Originally booked a room online for the Welcome Sawasdee Inn (around the corner) which looked lovely on the Internet to find it was apparently 'under reconstruction' and we were directed to Sawasdee Smile Inn. Probably a load of rubbish that it was under reconstruction. Anyway the hostel is basic. The rooms were fairly clean... The bedsheets looked clean anyway. The...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
