Dear readers, sometimes I wonder, is it wise to book on line.... Particularly on a 3 star hotel. The hotel shown (pictures and description) is simply not in line with what one actually gets once you check in. Everything is below the standard of the picture and its description!!! Having booked through Agoda....indicated that we were a late arrival, we...

I went to the this hotel because my mate was staying there and even though it was cheap, I think it should have been half the price of the 950 Thb I paid. The room was dark and the bath was stained so badly that it appeared really dirty. My toilet when I opened the seat was dirty from someone...

Wife and I stayed here Oct 2015. Front desk staff friendly and helpful, not so the sullen, monosyllabic guys serving breakfast, for whom grunting is evidently still a form of reluctant communication. Brekky ok, fruit, cereal, avoid the synthetic sausages and ham in water, I got one guy to fry me an egg, which was something. The hotel generally is...

Situated in Sukumvit and Soi 8, this is a pretty reasonable hotel to stay in. The rooms are pretty clean and the housekeeping staff keeps a pretty good ship running. Two complimentary bottles of water every day. The booking comes with free breakfast buffet. Not a bad spread. Eggs are done to your liking and there is fruits, juice, water,...

I will sum up this 'Lodge' in a simple list. Blood specks on the bed linen old pink razor left in bath which looked like it was used 10 min before I came into the room.....water everywhere in the bath and floor. Hair in the bottom of bath and still in Razor. Holes in bed linen with a crusty old...

The hotel location is good. The rooms are very old. Some of the staff, not all of them, are not friendly. You can find taxis outside the hotel if you need to go to the airport or anywhere else. Definitely not coming back here.

Not many places offer a free breakfast everyday when you book online. Royal Asia Lodge does and it's a good breakfast too. The eggs are cooked to order and the rest of the breakfast is buffet style. Including juice, coffee or tea, fruit, toast, and ham. This is an older hotel that, in its day, was first class. It still...

We stayed here a few nights to be close to the sky train. The place looks like it use to be luxurious in the 70s but now is quite run down. Because we got a good deal with breakfast on agoda we didn't mind and the location was perfect. Probably wouldn't go back though.

The pictures are really nice, but once you arrive at the end of the street, you will be surprised. It is kind of shabby, but relatively clean. The breakfast is simple but good with fresh fruits and you can order all sorts of eggs.

I can commend the staff and management on meeting my expectations and that is how I base this review. Especially given the price, yes its old and needs renovation in the rooms. The air con is a little noisy, but I reset mine... the water is hot and the bed reasonable. But the location is good at the quiet end...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
