Stayed here for two nights. The room was basic but clean. We found the bed a bit too hard for us and the shower could have been better. It was just fixed to the wall in a small square room with a toilet and hand basin in. No shower tray so the floor got very wet and so did everything...

They saved us being open 24/7 as our flight was delayed a few hours and our originally booked hotel was closed when we arrived late in the night. Only stayed a few hours but the location was convenient, the room was clean and the breakfast was good.

We had a large, comfortable room with two beds and private bathroom. There was a nsmall lobby with WiFi and two desktop computers for guest use. Breakfast was adequate. The best thing about Boonsiri Place was it's location in walking distance to the Grand Palace and other tourist attractions. Also we took public buses, which were a short walk away.

Paid about £33 for one night. Room wasn't huge and the bedding had a few hairs and a stain on it, but the bed was comfortable. Basic amenities like soap, shower gel, shampoo, shower cap, bottled water are provided but no tea/coffee or fridge. I was on the fourth floor so was relatively quiet but I can imagine you'd hear...

Right in the center of Bangkok. Walking distance to Grand Palace, Wat Po and Kao San Road. Lots of street kitchen in local area. Hotel is average, the beds like sleeping at a door and shower in bath room makes the floor wet allover. We had room 502 and 503 and aircondition was not working in room 503. Room was...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days, it was nice of them to let us check in before 2pm, after being on the train for a long time. We get an okay room on the second floor. The location is close to the Grand Palace, about 10 minutes on foot and 15 to 20 minutes to Khao San road....

I stayed 1 night at Boonsiri. My checkin was no problem. Didn't have to pay a deposit. We I got to my room the air con wasn't working. My girlfriend called the front desk and they had a maintenance man there right away. While they were taking care of the A/C I decided to take a shower and the hot...

My boyfriend and I stayed here beginning of July. The room was spacious although it didn't have that cozy/quaint feeling. The washroom is also quite small, when you shower everything in the bathroom gets wet. The neighborhood is a bit unwelcoming however it is very close to Khaosan road and good walking distance to other sites.

£8 a night per head in the centre of Bangkok, 10 mins walk from Khaosan Road and The Grand Palace and other attractions. Large double beds, clean, en-suite, breakfast. What great value! Very helpful reception staff. They have safes in reception to use for free. Although the local area is a bit fruitful(!) we felt secure and was never hassled.

Visited with family in July 2016, the staff were extremely helpful and spoke good English. Very ready to help with anything and everything we needed. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfortable beds and air-con. Lovely breakfast included with fresh watermelon and pineapple. The location was great and very close to the Grand Palace and Khao San Road. Free...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
