Had a double room on the top floor for 360 Baht. Had terrible food and asked for a cup of hot water to make a tea. Staff wouldn't give it so me unless I go and get 10baht (back to the 5th floor being very sick). Other than that they were very unhelpful with every question asked and seemed more...

Walked in early off the night bus and took a double fan room for 370. Basic but clean and a good bed. Shared bathrooms were fine. Restaurant below is pretty good and cheap plus the guesthouse is in a good location to explore. Left luggage in storage one day befoe getting a night bus. Would stay again.

The place is 'ok' the rooms are clean and the shared showers and toilets are also clean and not a problem. The best asset this has is the location, it's right in the middle of everything and a 2 minute walk to Khao San road which is great. The downside is the rooms are very very hot. We slept with...

Prices are cheap. You can higgle and you can have sale. They have got a room on the roof. The room is cheaper than other rooms. If you are crowded -like 4-6people- and don't have money, you can stay here. But the room don't have air conditioner so there is so hot. But some rooms have air conditioner. there have public...

A lot of stairs if.you get a room on the 5th floor! Very basic rooms but does the job. Very hot, small and quite noisy. Nice staff and in a good area for food, bars and markets. Bring toilet paper and expect friendly lizard guests in the shower.

I would give 3.5 stars if that were an option - but it's not... The staff was quite nice to us. I read that that was a problem in past reviews. I mean, yeah, it is hot in summer, the view from a window in BKK isn't breath taking - but it is a decent backpacker hostel, for a decent...

Best deal in the area. Close to Khao San Rd. but quiet at night. Room was clean, wifi worked well. Shared bathrooms were plentiful and clean. They even let us check in at 6 AM after taking a night bus in from Surat Thani, this was a first. Thanks guys! Would definitely stay again.

The hotel is quit near the famous Kaho San Road but not directly in noisy area, just 5 minutes by walk. There are also some good and cheap restaurants and streetfoods in this street. The rooms are clean, the stuff is friendly. We defenetly want to come back.

I was talking to another long stay guest one day and I said that I thought my room had been tampered with and some of my stuff had gone missing after I went out. He said exactly the same thing had happened to him too. The girls working on reception even had the gall to jammy the lock when he...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
