A great clean hotel. The staff make you feel very welcome and important. Nice little touches like free drinking water, inclusive breakfast, and the bed covers turned down with a chocolate on the pillow! Great breakfast. Walking distance to transport, and close to the shopping centres. Clean, new rooms. They have free wireless through the hotel. If you don't have...

A small professionally run boutique styled hotel centrally located with excellent facilites and friendly staff. Situated on Sukhumvit Soi 1 it is ideally situated for discovering central Bangkok on foot or else within easy walking distance to the Sky Train Chitlom and Nana stations We have stayed at this hotel about 6 times over the past 2 years, most stays...

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in early Sept 2008. Driving up the street you can be forgiven for thinking you are in a ghetto. Nestled between a huge hospital & apartments is the FuramaXclusive. The hotel is very clean, rooms are very spacious. For the price you can't really complain & the included daily breakfast is very satisfying....

On the one hand, the hotel was mostly clean, quiet, had a good breakfast and the staff were helpful. But I'd really say you're better off staying somewhere else, ultimately. It didn't have much character. Soi 1 on Sukhumvit is very far from most of the action on Sukhumvit. The bathrooms were a little dirty (door had smudges on it)....

Pro: Paid US $60/night including breakfast. Spotless, good size room, free in-room wi-fi, less than 10 minutes walk to the skytrain station, close to shopping malls, restaurants. No bar/disco in Soi 1, my daughter and I felt safe to walk from the skytrain station to the hotel in the evening. Cons: On the 8th floor, there was strange smell whenever...

I think you should search for a better place. I am not saying this is a terrible hotel but not really good value for money. Hotel is far from the city center but a 10 minute walk from the skytrain. Just as another tripadviser member, we were also charged for drinks we didn't order. Unless the other member I don't...

PROS: 1. Close to SkyTrain 2. Good breakfast, included in price 3. Internet and some TV included CONS: 1. A bit expensive for what you are getting 2. During checkout, we had to fight with front desk staff because of minibar and phone charges that appeared on our bill, which we did not use. The cost was very minimal (about...

We booked this hotel for our first few nights in Bangkok before heading north. The hotel is not exactly easy to find, so make sure you tell the taxi driver it's on Soi 1 off Sukhumvit Road. (it's opposite the Bumrungrad hospital) The road itself looks more like a backstreet and off the main road, but once you get inside,...

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
