My husband and I stayed here for the second time for two nights on the first two nights of our Bangkok trip. We had previously stayed for a few nights a few years ago booked through a friend who works for the tour company that...More

Oasis was our first go-to-point in Bangkok after we landed and, as it turned out, few better choices could have been made. The hostel has a nice laid-back vibe to it and Lasse and Sam (reception) allways gave us good advice when needed. The garden...More

What most other hostels I've stayed at don't focus on is simply creating a great, welcoming atmosphere. At the Oasis hostel, they have staff dedicated to doing exactly that, which on top of great rooms and an amazing location close to Khao San Road, makes...More

The staff here are really helpful with lots of good tips. The guests were lovely. We had a great evening. The showers worked well with hot and cold water. Our room didn’t look so good, but we slept well and the beds were clean. The...More

We were three friends on a trip to Bangkok, and stumpled upon this hostel on TripAdvisor, which was the best decision besides taking the trip at all. We visited Lasse and his great hostel 2 times within our month of travelling, and it was a...More

About
Description
Welcome to The Oasis! This isn’t just your average hostel, but also a community in the heart of the backpacking area of Bangkok. Located only a 5 minute walk from one of the wildest walking streets in Asia, ...More the (in)famous Khao San Road, you’re always close to whatever your backpacker heart could ever desire. We are located in the Samsen area which is a constantly growing, colorful community full of funky restaurants/bars and, of course, cheap Thai street food that will treat your taste buds. The Oasis Hostel is a relaxing place with great facilities in the common area where you can share your travel stories with other backpackers and our friendly staff, who are always happy to share tips and tricks to getting around Bangkok, where to find the best street food and to share their own travel experiences. We offer both private rooms and dorm rooms; all rooms are equipped with A/C! There’s FREE WIFI throughout the hostel. We have hot and cold showers with towels provided, and some of the most comfortable beds you will find in South East Asia, to get you rested for your next adventure. Our in-house travel gurus can answer any questions, regarding travel, you have and book any trips, tours, hostels and transportation that you might need. All of our western staff, Thai staff and Pow Wow, the hostel dog, will be here to help you get the most out of your time in Thailand and help you explore your way through the smells, tastes, sites, sounds and culture of this crazy (not so little) city we call home. While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
