We've been backpacking so this was a little treat after a long bit of travel. The rooftop pool (although small) was a real bonus. It was lovely and peaceful up there and nice for a dip. We had one of the 60 square meter apartments and thought it was great. The bed was huge and comfy. Air con in bedroom... More

Have been staying here for just over a month now and have extended my stay of another month. I can really recommend this serviced apartment - I've stayed in Bangkok many times and tried different places and this is definitely the best and excellent value for money. First of all it is smack bang central Sukhumvit minutes from Asoke and... More

My friend and I went out looking for some new hotels in the area. This one is different - 1990s serviced apartments with strong echoes to a 1930s hotel. Three buildings open at the moment. We tried the White building and the Tuck building - both good depending on you group size and length of stay. Staff were friendly and... More

When i first saw the pictures on the hotels web site, i could not wait to make the reservation. We stayed there for 2 nights and, for me, it was enough. The location is quite ok, near Sukhumvit 22, so you have Terminal 21 (huge shopping mall) and the Asok sky-train station near by. We had a room in the... More

When we arrived, we found out that the House by the Pond are actually three (big) houses, more like three hotels. The location was a little difficult to find, by foot from the metro was a little far (considering all the bags). Our apartment was really spacious and very clean. There was a separate kitchen, a living room, bathroom and... More

A fantastic location right in the centre of Bangkok. The apartment was such good value for money, and felt is calm surrounded by a gorgeous garden. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would come back again. A hidden gem.

This Hotel is tucked away in the middle of Bangkok. The overall feel is that you are not in the city and yet it is so close to almost everything. I have stayed at this hotel several times on various visits to Bangkok and am always pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, the old-world charm of the place and it's very central but still somehow quiet location. This is a fantastic place to base yourself, the rooms are large and comfortable and it is walking distance to the sky train,... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
Sukhumvit
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.

House by the Pond is a period residence set in lush tropical surroundings full of greenery with a mature garden and a pond. House by the Pond is ideally located in the middle of the Sukhumvit area of central Bangkok within walking distance to the great entertainment and shopping centers and moments away from the Promphong and Asoke sky train BTS stations and the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre MRT underground station. We provide roomy comfortable fully serviced apartments with a kitchen in each apartment, 24 hour security, free Wi-Fi high speed internet, room service, limousine service, self- service laundry, a roof top pool and sun deck with an extensive panoramic view of the city, a gym and a mature garden with an iconic pond which is a place of peace, serenity and tranquility to relax in the heart of the Bangkok metropolis. In addition, House By The Pond has a English Colonial style lounge area for all to enjoy and relax. The atmosphere is best described as being warm, friendly, charming and, above all, homely as all of our buildings are low rise. The architectural style of House By the Pond is truly refine and unique to Bangkok as it is of traditional period style. We have been in the industry for a very long time and pride ourselves in being one of the best valued for money serviced apartments in Thailand as we were one of the first serviced apartments to specialize in the international expat clientele and one which is truly a peaceful international residence. ... more   less
