Location is good as its very near Sao Khao road, road full of pubs and discs. The Party place of Bangkok with area full of tourists only. The restaurant of the hotel serves delicious food. Staff was ok, not bad and not too cordial.

Called here on our last night in Bangkok and wished we had found it earlier. We had the BBQ beef and jacket potato which was simple but really nice and cooked perfect. Well worth finding if you are around the Khao San Road area

Room for 800 Baht - Rooms almost clean with shower and air condition. Unfortunately impossible to get some rest because of the noise made by the party teenagers... The management does not seem to care... Atmosphere is not nice.

in general I like this guesthouse. The restaurant and street BBQ are good. Generally the rooms have been clean when I stayed there - 5 times now. I see some other reviewers complain about noise from the restaurant or perhaps street, but I've never had that issue. My favorite room is the one that overlooks the temple across the street

We stayed at Mango Lagoon several times. Mostly because of the location. Soi Rabuttri is a very nice street. We don't have many expectations of a guesthouse. Just want a clean place to sleep. When we were there 2 weeks ago I couldn't sleep at all! All night a group of young people were sitting in the gardenrestaurant yelling and...

Simple guesthouse, fair prices and the food ain't half bad either :) Comfy beds, a.c. and tv in the room so you've got everything you need to kill time in the big city. Worth staying if you've got time to kill, and it's on Soi rambuttri which is a great place to chill and people watch!

The hotel reception are untrustworthy, rude and aggressive. It's a nice location not far from Khao San Rd, however there are many much better and honest places to stay in the area. Our rooms were dirty and cleaning staff are non existent..

Positive: - Good value for money - Comfortable bed - English TV channels - 24 hours reception service - Restaurant's food is tasty Negative: - No fridge - Can be noisy at times - No elevator, which is bad if you have heavy luggage and get a room on the upper levels - WIFI not working in the room

Really a very bad hotel room. depressing. A very bad and sad hotel actually. Noisy, bad air-con. Very old, filthy carpet with big ugly stains on it everywhere. Old worn out and creepy furniture. The room reeked of smoke so bad that my wife and I both got red eyes that were stinging all night and in the morning and...

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
