Cold Pool, excellent cocktails and food, good service.
That is what best describes this hotel, would certainly stay here again when next in Bangkok!
Was much better than last time when we stayed at the Asia Hotel.
We found Lamphu on Tripadvisor and booked with them for three nights at Christmas time. For the amount of money we spent on our stay, this hotel surpassed our expectations. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are a bit dodgey, but the hotel itself is...More
The Lamphu Tree House is in a great location with many of Bangkok's best attractions very nearby. We arrived after a 13 hour flight to be graciously received by the staff, who immediately helped us with our baggage and brought us a complimentary mango drink....More
Lovely quiet spot not far from the action in Bankok! Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Lobby, pool and dining area were cozy and inviting....the staff took good care of us. We were very impressed with the free New Years Eve buffet provided to us...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around
Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.

Take public transit from airport into the city. Watch out for cabs trying to rip off tourist. The train didn't cost that much. You can bargain wth the cabs. Tho I'd stay away from them. Train to the city and walk to your hotel. They tried to charge us 500 baht from the train station in the city. I said no. They brought it down to 400baht. I still said no. We walked. It was not that far at all! Always trying to scam. However the hotel itself will set up transportation for you!!!!! We booked last min so we didn't know. We used it to take us back to the airport was fairly cheap. The hotel was great. I'm sure they would set something up for you. Sorry for late response I never saw this.
