I would like to mention that the word Hostel is rather misleading. The Na Nara is more of a Hotel. We stayed there for 3 nights from the 4th July until the 6th July. The rooms have full facilities and were excellently furnished for the amount of money we paid. Its very central and the Manager Bon could not of... More

The Hostel Na Nara was formerly and for many years the Om Yim Lodge. The lobby area has been extensively remodelled and now mostly consists of the restaurant which opens at and gets very busy indeed at lunchtime; the restaurant is not open for breakfast. For readers wanting to have a good breakfast I can recommend Foodland which is less... More

The hotel is newly renovate with nice bed sheet good smell duvet make the room cozy. The location is superb as it located next to BTS Chong Nonsri. The Thaifood at their restaurant is also nice and cheap.

To all regular visitors to the delightfull Om Yim Lodge fear not the new owners have maintained its charming ambiance and offer the same incredible value. They have completed extensive redecoration and the hotel remains Gay Friendly +++ and the staff are as charming and helpful as ever.I have been here for a month and have had a delightfull time.... A friend recommended this place for its location and proximity to public transportation. This is where all the pluses of staying there ended and only minuses remained. It seems the owners make most of the money from the lunchtime crowds that the nearby office buildings provide. The accommodation business comes to them a distant second in importance. Most Om Yim... I missed my flight as the staff member did not wake me up at my request. as a consequence i had to pay 1,000$ for a new flight. And I had to stay one night extra for which they charged me again. Only later did I learn that member of staff did not speak any English and he was just... More

stayed at Om Yim Lodge and it is only a few steps away from the sky rail station and a 6 minutes walk to busy Silom Road. Guest house prices, but has everything like hotels have ( no lift though) but staff carried my bags up. It serves nice western and Thai food in the restaurant and has a well... More

Rooms are small, dingy and depressing--also noisy if you are on the street side. Furniture is falling apart. No chair in the room, so I had to swipe one from the lobby. Reception staff consists of one boy who also waits on restaurant tables. He barely understands English and speaks almost none. But the big issue is maintenance. There simply... More

We went there to eat, because our thai place was closed. It took them soooo long to bring us the food. At first they served us the wrong food, they took it away again and the waiting continued. We were in search for a nice hotel that gave us quick access to Bangkok MRT. This hotel is neatly tucked around Chongnonsi station, hardly a minute walk from the station. This gave us easy access to the Metro, helping us cover the length and breadth of Bangkok, for the 3 days we stayed :-) There was a restaurant on... More

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
