I love the simple, but traditional teak style building located in SOI 6 area of Chang Mai. The staff are very sweet and the price for a double room is only 250 Bhat. Many places in the area have almost doubled their prices, but Lamchang House has not. They also have great wifi. I will come back here for sure.

Not a five stars hotel for sure but a very good value to stay in Chiangmai. Located in the city center so closed to every pubs and restaurants. Quiet place. Wifi is not working perfectly :/ beds matelas are a bit hard but you sleep well... except when the chickens are awake...

It is really cheap and centrally located -at the best guesthouse street in the old town. But this is where positives end. The room is very dark, there are no windows per se, just a lockable mosquito nets and curtains. Rooms are on the ground floor, so I really didn't feel safe there, also it was easy to see into...

We feel very good and safe during our stay. The matraces were harder but not uncomfty, room was nice, clean and all wooden. The whole place was little dark but very nice decorated. We felt like on some scaut trip :) One hot shower located outside is really good because weather was not so hot, especially at evening and early...

We stayed there for a few days. The beds were not very comfortable and they got a water problem when it Rains (you need to keep you luggage up). But they offer rooms for a reasonable price (250 for a double) and the owners seemes to be nice (one night we were invited having a few drinks). Showers and toilets...

Clean and quiet place located in the north east of CM, within the fortifications. Cheap (250 Bahts for 2 people during Songkran !!!) Very discreet & welcoming people. Cheap bicycles and delightful muesli with fruit salad ... Thank you :)

I stayed here for more than a week and paid 150 Baht for single fan room. It was good enough for me. Though I was there in the summer, the fan was good enough to cool the room. I checked other guesthouses and it was too hot. The owner was very helpful in booking my trips. Breakfast was inexpensive. The...

You pay very little for the place. About 250baht for some rooms. It looks like a beautiful cool place on the outside. And they keep the place very clean. It's very basic, which is fine. You get a couple of showers with hot water but the rest have just cold. Breakfast is cheap and good. The only real problem is...

Really good location and very cheap. Basic facilities, but expected for the very low price. Three cute dogs as well! But there is no one at reception after 6pm so it is up to guests to lock the main door at night. One of the nights we stayed there, the door was left open and a man came in from...

Our experience at the lamchang house was our least restful in all Thailand. There was people smoking cigarettes in the rooms constantly, it's right next to a busy side street that gets real noisy about 6 a.m., dead cockroaches being carried away by armies of ants, the toilet trash bins were full of poopy papers, and owner's children running around...

“Plan lots of mosquito repellant and ear plugs. Try your best to book in advance and stay for about 4+ nights if that's how long you'll be in Chiang Mai because it is a good value and you can do little things to make the stay more comfortable like ear plugs or getting a room towards the front street side so you don't have to hear the rooster.”
