We had planned on staying three nights and ended up staying 7. The rooms are clean and delightfully decorated (beware of noisy neighbors though, as the walls are paper thin). The garden is lovely and peaceful (albeit a bit mosquito-y) and the breakfast is fantastic with different kinds of seasonal fruit, yogurt, cereal and eggs. Saving the best for last:... More

My husband and I celebrated an anniversary in Thailand in October 2015. We did not book a room ahead in Chang Mai as I had been before and remembered there being an abundance of rooms. We had our three top choices say they were full up and had no availability. My guidebook talked about Baan Hanibah and so we called... More

This is a small and quaint guest house really, not a hotel. They don't have lifts or bell boys so would suit strong people who can carry their own suitcases up the stairs or backpackers; there is no phone in the rooms; they won't accept payment by credit or debit card, only cash and the walls are paper thin. No... More

Stayed here after arriving in Chiang Mai. Staff were amazing - couldn't be more helpful. Only downside was the noise-proofing. Lots of banging - not sure why but was a bit disruptive during early hours of the morning. To be fair, this is probably part due to the fact that the building is an authentic old house. Would definitely recommend... More

This place is one of the best places I have ever stayed in. The location is ideal, right in the center of the old town. The traditional architecture and interior design are just beautiful. Rooms have great facilities and are a pleasure to hang out in. Every single staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful, very attentive and obviously concerned... More

I stayed at Baan Hanibah for one night and it was wonderful. The house is close to the main road but tucked into a side street, making it quiet and calm. It felt like a little oasis in the middle of the city. The decor matches the mood. Lots of wood, greenery, simple furnishings and just an overall feeling of... More

We were sad to leave Chiang Mai, but even more sad to leave Baan Hanibah! My daughter and I loved every minute of our 5 nights at Baan Hanibah in late July 2016. We stayed in a small room but it was the best experience of our 2 weeks in Thailand because it was comfortable, well decorated, had great air... More

Although it's located in a quiet lane inside downtown, it's very easy to access any tourist spot. Room is nice, clean and comfortable. The only disadvantage is that it's easy to make noise due to wooden floor. However, it should not be blamed because of its unique classic style. Lying down at chair on the balcony and enjoying book is... More
