My girlfriend and I stayed at Vdara Resort and Spa from February 6-9. We originally booked a double room, which ended up having issues with the water temperature of the shower (either burning hot or freezing cold, no in-between). However, the staff was extremely helpful and after the problem could not be solved we were upgraded to one of the... More

Nice, small, quiet hotel in Chiang Mai. Bit away from everything and Taxi Drivers have trouble finding it - just take a card from the Hotel with you. Really liked that it was very quiet and has nice big rooms. If you want relax - good place.

Probably the worst choice of hotel I made in Thailand. Firstly the hotel DOES NOT have a SPA. They direct you on a walk 800 meters away down back alleys of you want to find one. Woke up at 7.38 to a PA system blasting out dance music around the pool, this woke just about everyone in the hotel. The... More

Had a wonderful stay in this hotel, the rooms are huge the pool is chlorine free and wonderful - it felt like we were the only ones there. The breakfast was lovely - the staff couldn't do enough to help. Towels were available for the pool and complementary water was provided. It is very far out from town though, which... More

The hotel itself is very nice. It's quiet, in a courtyard shape around the chlorine free pool. It's got beautiful fragrant trees, is low rise, and the rooms are large and well appointed. The aspect that lets it down for me is the staff, sadly. I found them to be a little disorganized - on the reception desk anyway. I... More

Nice hotel with friendly staff, we got upgraded to a corner room because we we're on our honeymoon! Too class resort! They sent a Bottle of champagne up to our room as a gift too. No casino in this hotel which is good as it reduces queues at reception compared to other hotels in close range.

Very nice, large, clean rooms, comfortable beds, but far from the old city action. Air conditioner had a bit of a musty smell so we kept it off. Breakfast was good, staff was very accommodating and would easily call taxis for us (there are no taxis or tuk tuks to hail around the hotel). It is so quiet here, almost... More

It's a nice Thai-style hotel. Very large rooms. Comfortable beds (hard which I like). Breakfast is adequate. It's outside of town and quiet - apart from the occasional dog barking at night and rooster crowing in the morning. Very kind and attentive service.

For people with activities restricted to the area this Vdara is in, it is a great choice. I'm sure there are other good options around, but this is definitely a quiet retreat if that is your style. The hotel is tastefully done up and clean. The location is secluded, a supermarket is within walking distance, and the neighborhood is essentially... More

I used to stay at Vdara 2 years ago booking via agoda.com. This time, I am just a walked in traveler with my Danish friend for his business in Baan Tawai, Hangdong. The rate is 1500 THB for standard room, but I can bargain to 1300 THB, included breakfast. Room is so wide with wood furniture decoration in northern Lanna... More
